David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.

David told the Levite leaders to appoint other Levites as musicians. He wanted them to make a joyful sound with lyres, harps and cymbals.

David also commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers as the singers who should play loudly on musical instruments, on harps and lyres and cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.

David also ordered the Levite leaders to appoint a choir of Levites who were singers and musicians to sing joyful songs to the accompaniment of harps, lyres, and cymbals.

Then David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their relatives as singers and to have them raise their voices with joy accompanied by musical instruments— harps, lyres, and cymbals.

歌唱的和跳舞的都說：「我一切的泉源都在你裡面。」

願他們用跳舞讚美他的名，用鈴鼓和豎琴歌頌他！

我曾把你留在克里特島，為的是這樣的緣故：要你處理那些還沒有辦完的事，並且照著我所吩咐你的，在各城委任長老。

君王們必作你兒女的撫養人，王后們必作你兒女的乳母；他們必臉伏於地，向你下拜，舔你腳上的塵土。那時，你就知道：我是耶和華，等候我的必不致蒙羞。」

保羅和巴拿巴在各教會為他們選出了長老，禱告和禁食以後，把他們交託給他們所信靠的主。

要用號角的聲音讚美他，用里拉琴和豎琴讚美他！要用鈴鼓和跳舞讚美他，用絲弦和笛子讚美他！

「如果有人嚮往監督的職份，他就是在渴望一份美好的工作。」這話是信實的。所以做監督的必須無可指責，只做一個婦人的丈夫，節制、自律、端莊，樂意款待客旅，善於教導，不酗酒、不好鬥；反要謙和，不爭吵、不貪財，好好帶領自己的家，在一切的事上莊重，使兒女順服。但如果有人不知道怎麼帶領自己的家，他怎麼能照顧神的教會呢？做監督的不可以是新信徒，免得他自以為是，就落在魔鬼所受的懲罰裡；同時，做監督的在外人中也必須有好名聲，免得受人責罵，落在魔鬼的網羅裡。做執事的也一樣，必須莊重，不一口兩舌，不酗酒，不貪圖不正當的利益，以清白的良心持守信仰的奧祕；並且這些人也當先受考驗，如果是無可指責的，才可以做執事。照樣，他們的妻子也必須莊重，不惡意控告人，有節制，在一切事上都忠心。做執事的只可做一個婦人的丈夫，好好帶領兒女和自己的家。因為那好好服事的，就讓自己達到美好的境地，並且在基督耶穌裡的信仰上大有膽量。我把這些事寫給你，希望很快到你那裡去。就算我耽延了，你也可以知道在神的家裡應該怎樣行事。這家是永生神的教會，是真理的柱石和根基。

全地啊，你們當向耶和華歡呼！

你要把那些在許多見證人面前從我所聽見的，交託給那些忠心可靠、又有能力教導別人的人。

你們當向神——我們的力量歡唱，向雅各的神歡呼！

稱謝耶和華、歌頌至高者你的名，是多麼美好——在清晨宣告你的慈愛、在夜間宣告你的信實，用十弦琴、里拉琴、豎琴的旋律！
