並且分給以色列眾人，所有的百姓，無論男女，每人一個餅，一個棗子餅，一個葡萄餅。眾人就各自回家去了。大衛回去要為家裏的人祝福，掃羅的女兒米甲出來迎接他，說：「以色列王今日有好大的榮耀啊！他今日在臣僕的使女眼前露體，如同一個無賴赤身露體一樣。」

若你們認為事奉耶和華不好，今日就可以選擇所要事奉的：是你們列祖在大河那邊所事奉的神明，或是你們所住這地亞摩利人的神明呢？至於我和我家，我們必定事奉耶和華。」

第八日，王遣散百姓；他們都為王祝福。他們為耶和華向他僕人大衛和他百姓以色列所施的一切恩惠都心中喜樂，愉快地各回自己的帳棚去了。

我揀選他，為要叫他命令他的子孫和後代家屬遵行耶和華的道，秉公行義，使耶和華所應許亞伯拉罕的話都實現了。」

我要用智慧行完全的道。你幾時到我這裏來呢？我要以純正的心行在我家中。
