大衛問他：「你是誰的僕人？你從哪裡來？」他答道：「我是埃及人，是亞瑪力人的奴僕。三天前，主人因為我患病把我撇棄了。

所羅門王完成耶和華殿的一切工作後，就把他父親大衛獻給耶和華的金銀和器具都搬進耶和華殿的庫房。

看啊，我歷盡艱辛，為耶和華的殿預備了三千四百五十噸金子、三萬四千五百噸銀子和不計其數的銅和鐵。我還預備了木料和石頭。你還要多加預備。

利未人亞希雅負責掌管上帝殿裡的庫房和放奉獻之物的庫房。

他們是以東人、以實瑪利人、摩押人、夏甲人、迦巴勒人、亞捫人、亞瑪力人、非利士人和泰爾人。

要把所有的金銀和銅鐵器皿分別出來獻給耶和華，放進耶和華的庫房裡。」

也奪了所有的牛羊。他的部下把這些牛羊趕到自己的牲畜前面，說：「這是大衛的戰利品。」

耶和華說：「錫安城啊，起來打穀吧！我要給你鐵角，我要給你銅蹄。你要打碎列國，將他們的不義之財獻給耶和華，把他們的財富獻給普天下的主。」

大衛王把這些器皿和他征服亞蘭人、摩押人、亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人和利合的兒子瑣巴王哈大底謝時所得的金銀都分別出來，奉獻給耶和華。
