大衛和他的人上去，侵奪基述人、基色人、亞瑪力人，這些是從帖蘭經過書珥直到埃及地的居民。大衛攻擊那地，無論男女沒有留下一個活口，又奪獲牛、羊、驢、駱駝和衣服，回來到亞吉那裏。

凡心受感動，靈被驅策的，都帶耶和華的禮物來，為要造會幕和其中一切的器具，以及縫製聖衣。凡甘心樂意的，連男帶女都來了，各將金器，就是胸針、耳環、打印的戒指，和項鏈帶來，搖着金器的搖祭獻給耶和華。凡有藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗、細麻、山羊毛、染紅的公羊皮、精美皮料的，都拿了來；凡願意獻銀和銅作禮物的，都拿禮物來獻給耶和華；凡有金合歡木可做各種用途的也都拿了來。

大衛對他說：「你是誰的人？你從哪裏來？」他說：「我是埃及的青年，是亞瑪力人的奴僕。因為我三天前生病，我主人就把我撇棄了。

所羅門王做完了耶和華殿一切的工，就把他父親大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿都帶來，放在耶和華殿的庫房裏。

這示羅密和他的兄弟管理一切庫房的聖物，就是大衛王和眾族長、千夫長、百夫長，以及軍官所分別為聖之物。他們把打仗時奪取的一些財物分別為聖，用來修造耶和華的殿。

到了年初，諸王出征的時候，約押率領軍兵蹂躪亞捫人的地，前來圍攻拉巴；大衛仍住在耶路撒冷。約押攻打拉巴，把它毀壞。大衛奪了米勒公所戴的冠冕，其上的金子重一他連得，又嵌着寶石。這冠冕就戴在大衛頭上。大衛又從城裏奪了許多財物，

看哪，我辛苦地為耶和華的殿預備了十萬他連得金子，一百萬他連得銀子，銅和鐵多得無法可秤；我也預備了木頭、石頭，你還可以增添。

利未人中有亞希雅管理上帝殿的庫房和聖物的庫房。

他們就是住帳棚的以東和以實瑪利人，摩押和夏甲人，迦巴勒、亞捫、亞瑪力、非利士和推羅的居民。

只有金子、銀子和銅鐵的器皿都要歸耶和華為聖，放入耶和華的庫房中。」

大衛所奪來的牛羣羊羣，有人趕在羣畜前面，說：「這是大衛的掠物。」

錫安哪，起來踹穀吧！我必使你的角成為鐵，使你的蹄成為銅。你必打碎許多民族，將他們的財寶獻給耶和華，將他們的財富獻給全地的主。

大衛王把這些器皿分別為聖，連同他制伏各國所分別為聖的金銀，獻給耶和華，就是從亞蘭、摩押、亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人，以及從利合的兒子瑣巴王哈大底謝所掠之物。

「我算甚麼，我的百姓算甚麼，竟然能夠如此樂意奉獻？因為萬物都從你而來，我們把從你的手得來的獻給你。
