O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment[ was] behind them.And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle[ was] before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.

Why are thy valiant[ men] swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.

And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I[ am] the LORD.
