大衛王站起來，說：『我的弟兄、我的人民啊，你們要聽我；我心裏本有意思要為永恆主的約櫃建造一座安居之殿、作為我們之上帝的腳凳；我並且已經準備好要建造了。

大卫王就站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你们当听我言，我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我神的脚凳；我已经预备建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，请听我说！我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我们上帝的脚凳，并且我已经预备了建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你们要听我的话；我心里有意要建造一所安放耶和华的约柜的殿宇，作我们的神的脚凳，并且我已经准备好要建造。

大衛王就站起來，說：「我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你們當聽我言，我心裏本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我神的腳凳；我已經預備建造的材料。

大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

永恆主這麼說：『天是我的座位，地是我的腳凳；你們要在哪裏為我建殿呢？哪裏是我安居所的地方呢？

你們要尊永恆主我們的上帝為至高，在他的腳凳前敬拜；惟獨他至聖。

大衛住在宮中；大衛對神言人拿單說：『你看我，我住在香柏木的宮殿，而永恆主的約櫃、反而在幔子之下呢。』拿單對大衛說：『你心裏要作甚麼，你只管作甚麼好啦；因為上帝與你同在。』

怎麼啦！永恆主竟氣忿忿使黑雲籠罩着錫安小姐啊！他竟將以色列的華美從上天扔在下地啊！他在發怒的日子竟不懷念着自己的腳凳啊！

免得他心高氣傲、藐視他的族弟兄，也免得他離了這誡命、而偏左偏右；好使他和他子孫在以色列中治國延年益壽。

『這是我永永遠遠的安居所；我要在這裏坐着為王，因為我中意它。

並且王的臣僕也已經來向我們的主上大衛王祝頌，說：「願你的上帝使所羅門的名聲比你的名聲更好，使他的王位比你的王位更尊大。」王就在床上跪拜上帝。

大衛豫備了許多鐵、要做門扇上的釘子和夾鉗子；又豫備了許多銅，無法可稱，香柏木無法可數；因為西頓人和推羅人給大衛運了許多香柏木來。大衛心裏說：『我兒子所羅門年青嬌嫩；要為永恆主建造的殿宇必須宏壯巍峨，使聲譽榮華傳遍各地；因此我要為這事豫備。』於是大衛在未死之前、多多地豫備。大衛把他的兒子所羅門召了來，囑咐他給永恆主以色列的上帝建殿的事。

因為那使人聖別的祭司、和那些蒙聖別的人、都出於一原；因這緣故，他不以為恥地稱他們為弟兄，說：『我要向我的弟兄傳布你的名，我要在公會中歌頌你』。

大衛取了哈大底謝臣僕身上的金擋牌，帶到耶路撒冷來。大衛又從哈大底謝的提巴和均城中奪取了極多的銅；所羅門用它來製造銅海、銅柱、和一切的銅器。哈馬王陀烏聽見大衛擊敗了瑣巴王哈大底謝的全軍，就打發他兒子哈多蘭來見大衛王，給他問安，慶祝他有福，因為他和哈大底謝交戰、竟擊敗了哈大底謝；原來陀烏和哈大底謝常有戰事。哈多蘭手裏還帶着金銀銅的各樣器皿來。這些器皿大衛王也分別為聖獻與永恆主，連同他從列國所帶來的金銀，就是從以東、從摩押、從亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人那裏所帶來的、都分別為聖、獻與永恆主。

那麼你總要立永恆主你的上帝所要揀選的人做王來管理你；你要從你族弟兄中立一位做王來管理你；不可讓一個外籍人、不是你族弟兄的、管理你。

我父親大衛心裏原有意思要為永恆主耶和華以色列之上帝的名建殿；但永恆主卻對我父親大衛說：「你心裏有意思要為我的名建殿，你心裏這意思固然很好。

王住在宮中。永恆主使他得享平靜、沒受他四圍一切仇敵的侵擾；王對神言人拿單說：『你看我，我住在香柏木的宮殿，而上帝的櫃反而住在幔子中間。』

約櫃安設之後，大衛所設立在永恆主殿中經手負責歌唱之事的、是以下這些人。

我就向我弟兄宣揚你的名；在大眾中讚美你。

「天是給我做座位的，地是我腳的凳子；你們要為我建造甚麼樣的殿呢，主說,哪裏是我安息的地方呢？

『我必不進我家的屋子，不上我床的鋪蓋；我必不容我的眼睡覺，不容我的眼皮打盹，直等到我為永恆主覓得地方，為雅各的大能者找到幕所。』看哪，我們聽說約櫃在以法他；我們在雅珥田野上找到了。『我們要進他的幕所，在他的腳凳前敬拜。』永恆主啊，求你起來，你和你那有能力的約櫃同入安居所；

並且在你這裏也有許多作工的人；就是鑿石的人和石匠木匠、以及一切能作

以色列眾人集合到希伯崙來見大衛，說：『看哪，我們原是你的骨肉。從前掃羅做王的時候、率領以色列人出入的是你。永恆主你的上帝也曾對你說過：「是你要牧養我的民以色列；是你要做人君來管理以色列。」』於是以色列眾長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王；大衛在希伯崙永恆主面前和他們立約，他們就膏立了大衛為王來管理以色列，正如永恆主的話、由撒母耳經手所說的。

有人告訴雅各說：『請看，你兒子約瑟找你來了』；以色列就勉強在床上坐起來。
