大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

This is what the Lord says:“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? (niv)

Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. (niv)

After David was settled in his palace, he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under a tent.”Nathan replied to David,“ Whatever you have in mind, do it, for God is with you.” (niv)

How the Lord has covered Daughter Zion with the cloud of his anger! He has hurled down the splendor of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger. (niv)

and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel. (niv)

“ This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it. (niv)

Also, the royal officials have come to congratulate our lord King David, saying,‘ May your God make Solomon’s name more famous than yours and his throne greater than yours!’ And the king bowed in worship on his bed (niv)

So David gave orders to assemble the foreigners residing in Israel, and from among them he appointed stonecutters to prepare dressed stone for building the house of God.He provided a large amount of iron to make nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, and more bronze than could be weighed.He also provided more cedar logs than could be counted, for the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought large numbers of them to David.David said,“ My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord should be of great magnificence and fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations. Therefore I will make preparations for it.” So David made extensive preparations before his death. (niv)

Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.He says,“ I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” (niv)

David took the gold shields carried by the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.From Tebah and Kun, towns that belonged to Hadadezer, David took a great quantity of bronze, which Solomon used to make the bronze Sea, the pillars and various bronze articles.When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,he sent his son Hadoram to King David to greet him and congratulate him on his victory in battle over Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Hadoram brought all kinds of articles of gold, of silver and of bronze.King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold he had taken from all these nations: Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek. be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite. (niv)

“ My father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the Lord, the God of Israel.But the Lord said to my father David,‘ You did well to have it in your heart to build a temple for my Name. (niv)

After the king was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him,he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.” (niv)

These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the Lord after the ark came to rest there. (niv)

I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you. (niv)

“‘ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? (niv)

“ I will not enter my house or go to my bed,I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”We heard it in Ephrathah, we came upon it in the fields of Jaar:“ Let us go to his dwelling place, let us worship at his footstool, saying,‘ Arise, Lord, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. “ I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the Lord a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them. (niv)

All Israel came together to David at Hebron and said,“ We are your own flesh and blood.In the past, even while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the Lord your God said to you,‘ You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.’”When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, he made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel, as the Lord had promised through Samuel. When Jacob was told,“ Your son Joseph has come to you,” Israel rallied his strength and sat up on the bed. (niv)
