“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the tribe of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ But the Lord chose me. He is the God of Israel. He chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah to lead the tribes. From the tribe of Judah he chose my family. From my father’s sons he chose me. He was pleased to make me king over the whole nation of Israel.

Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father’s house, and among my father’s sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, has chosen me from among all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen the tribe of Judah to rule, and from among the families of Judah he chose my father’s family. And from among my father’s sons the Lord was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the LORD God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s family, and from my father’s sons, he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the household of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

However the Lord God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler. And of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit Jehovah, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel;

“ Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s household to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s household, and from my father’s sons, He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah[ to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make[ me] king over all Israel:

The LORD God of Israel chose me out of my father’s entire family to become king over Israel and have a permanent dynasty. Indeed, he chose Judah as leader, and my father’s family within Judah, and then he picked me out from among my father’s sons and made me king over all Israel.

However Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

耶和華謂撒母耳曰、我既棄掃羅、不使為以色列王、爾為之懷憂、伊於胡底、可盛膏於角而往、我將遣爾詣伯利恆人耶西、其眾子中、我簡其一為王、

猶大超越諸昆弟、君王由彼而出、第長子之業歸約瑟、

既至、撒母耳見以利押、意謂耶和華之受膏者、果在其前也、耶和華謂之曰、毋觀其容、及軀幹之修偉、此人乃我所擯、蓋耶和華所見、迥異於人、人觀外貌、耶和華則視內心、耶西召亞比拿達、使過撒母耳前、撒母耳曰、耶和華亦不簡之、耶西又使沙瑪過焉、撒母耳曰、耶和華亦不簡之、耶西使七子咸過其前、撒母耳曰、皆非耶和華所簡也、又曰、爾子咸在此乎、曰、尚有季者牧羊、撒母耳曰、召之使來、彼未至、我儕不席坐、遂遣人攜之入、其人赤色、目秀貌美、耶和華曰、斯人是也、起而膏之、撒母耳取角中之膏、於其諸兄中膏之、自是以後、耶和華之靈大臨大衛、撒母耳啟行、歸於拉瑪、○

今爾樂錫嘏於僕家、俾永存於爾前、耶和華歟、爾既錫福、則永享其福焉、

故當謂我僕大衛曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我自羊牢中、羊羣後、取爾為我民以色列之君、爾之所往、我皆與偕、絕爾諸敵、將錫爾大名、如世間大人之名、我欲為我民以色列定一區域、而栽植之、使居己所、不復遷移、不復遭惡類之窘迫、有如疇昔、及我命士師治我民以色列時、我必使爾安居、得免諸敵之擾、且耶和華告爾、耶和華必為爾建立家室、迨爾之日已盈、與列祖偕眠、我必立爾所出之裔以嗣爾、鞏固其國、彼將為我名建室、我必固其國位、歷久弗替、我將為其父、彼將為我子、彼若作惡、我必以人之杖、世人之鞭責之、惟我仁慈不離之、如昔奪之於掃羅、即我為爾所棄者、爾家爾國必堅立、爾位必堅定、至於永遠、

維汝猶大、兄弟頌揚、爾父之子、伏拜爾前、爾手扼敵之頸、吾子猶大、猛如稚獅、食其所攫而去、臥如牡獅、蹲如牝獅、孰敢攖之、厥梃不離猶大、秉鈞者之杖、弗去其足間、迨細羅至、民咸歸之、

耶和華歟、爾論爾僕、與其家所言者、求爾堅固之、至於永遠、如言而行、

西弗人至基比亞、見掃羅曰、大衛匿於曠野前之哈基拉山、

乃選猶大支派、所愛之郇山兮、建其聖室、如崇高之天、如永奠之地兮、簡其僕大衛、出之於羊牢、離哺乳之牝羊、使為其民雅各之牧、其業以色列之牧兮、於是以其心之正直牧之、以其手之巧妙導之兮、

基列屬我、瑪拿西亦屬我、以法蓮為我首鎧、猶大為我杖兮、

導我入寬廣之區、施行救援以其悅我兮、

彼為爾名、終日喜樂、在於爾義、得高舉兮、爾為其力之榮、緣爾之恩、我角高舉兮、我儕之盾、屬耶和華、我儕之王、屬以色列之聖者兮、○爾見異象、諭爾聖民曰、我以助力、畀有能者、高舉一人、自民所簡兮、尋獲我僕大衛、膏以聖膏兮、我手恆與之偕、我臂必增其力、仇敵不得勒索之、惡黨不得困苦之兮、我必擊仆其敵、撻憾之者兮、我之信實慈惠、必與之偕、藉我之名、其角高舉兮、我使其手及於海、右手至於河兮、彼必呼我曰、爾為我父、我之上帝、我拯救之磐石兮、我必立之為冢子、地上至高之王兮、

基列屬我、瑪拿西亦屬我、以法蓮為我首鎧、猶大為我杖兮、

我主出自猶大明矣、此支摩西未嘗以祭司職言之、

不喜馬力、不悅人股兮、惟寅畏耶和華、仰望其慈惠者、乃其所悅兮、
