So Moses did as the LORD commanded him; he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community.

Now after these things had happened, during the reign of King Artaxerxes of Persia, Ezra came up from Babylon. Ezra was the son of Seraiah, who was the son of Azariah, who was the son of Hilkiah,who was the son of Shallum, who was the son of Zadok, who was the son of Ahitub,who was the son of Amariah, who was the son of Azariah, who was the son of Meraioth,who was the son of Zerahiah, who was the son of Uzzi, who was the son of Bukki,who was the son of Abishua, who was the son of Phinehas, who was the son of Eleazar, who was the son of Aaron the chief priest.

On the fourth day we weighed out the silver, the gold, and the vessels in the house of our God into the care of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest, and Eleazar son of Phinehas, who were accompanied by Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui, who were Levites.

Now the head of all the Levitical leaders was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible for the sanctuary.

Remove Aaron’s priestly garments and put them on Eleazar his son, and Aaron will be gathered to his ancestors and will die there.”So Moses did as the LORD commanded; and they went up Mount Hor in the sight of the whole community.And Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar. So Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. And Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.

Later Moses sought diligently for the sin offering male goat, but it had actually been burnt. So he became angry at Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons, saying,

Phinehas son of Eleazar had been their leader in earlier times, and the LORD was with him.

Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.Eleazar was the father of Phinehas, and Phinehas was the father of Abishua.Abishua was the father of Bukki, and Bukki was the father of Uzzi.Uzzi was the father of Zerahiah, and Zerahiah was the father of Meraioth.Meraioth was the father of Amariah, and Amariah was the father of Ahitub.Ahitub was the father of Zadok, and Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz.Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, and Azariah was the father of Johanan.
