These were the locations of their settlements allotted as their territory( they were assigned to the descendants of Aaron who were from the Kohathite clan, because the first lot was for them):

Here were the places where they made their homes. These places were given to them as their territory. Some were given to the children of Aaron who were from the family group of Kohath. They were given out by casting lots. The first lot was for Kohath.

These are their dwelling places according to their settlements within their borders: to the sons of Aaron of the clans of Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

This is a record of the towns and territory assigned by means of sacred lots to the descendants of Aaron, who were from the clan of Kohath.

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s descendants from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these are their settlements according to their camps within their borders. To the sons of Aaron of the families of the Kohathites( for theirs was the first lot),

These were the places assigned to Aaron’s sons from the Kohathite family for their settlements in their territory, because the first lot was for them.

Now these[ are] their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

These were the areas where Aaron’s descendants lived: The following belonged to the Kohathite clan, for they received the first allotment:

耶和华在耶利哥对面，约旦河边的摩押平原，对摩西说：“你要吩咐以色列人，叫他们从所得为业的地中，把一些城给利未人居住，也把这些城周围的郊区给利未人。这些城要归他们居住，城的郊区可以牧放他们的牛羊和一切牲畜，也可以存放他们的财物。“你们给利未人的城郊，要从城墙起，周围向外量四百五十公尺。你们又要从城外，向东面量九百公尺，向南面量九百公尺，向西面量九百公尺，向北面量九百公尺，城在中间；这要归给他们作城外的郊区。你们分给利未人的城，其中要有六座避难城，让误杀人的可以逃到那里去，此外还要给他们四十二座城。这样，你们所要给利未人的城，共为四十八座，连城带城郊都要给他们。从以色列人所得的地业中，你们要把一些城给利未人，人多的就要多给，人少的就要少给；每个支派要照着自己承受的产业，把城分给利未人。”

并用火烧了他们所住地方的一切城市和营寨；

于是以色列人照着耶和华所吩咐的，从自己的产业中，把以下这些城市和城的郊野，给了利未人。首先为哥辖家族抽出签来：利未支派亚伦祭司的子孙，从犹大支派、西缅支派和便雅悯支派，抽签得了十三座城。哥辖其余的子孙，从以法莲支派的家族、但支派和玛拿西半个支派，抽签得了十座城。革顺的子孙，从以萨迦支派的家族、亚设支派、拿弗他利支派和在巴珊的玛拿西半个支派，抽签得了十三座城。米拉利的子孙，按着家族，从流本支派、迦得支派和西布伦支派，得了十二座城。以色列人照着耶和华吩咐摩西的，藉着抽签，把这些城市和城的郊野分给利未人。

给利未支派、哥辖家族中亚伦的子孙，因为第一签是他们的。
