但在那蒙召的，无论是犹太人、希腊人，基督总为神的能力，神的智慧。

而於蒙召之人、無論其國籍之為猶太或希臘、則為天主之德能與神慧也。

but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

But there are those God has chosen, both Jews and Greeks. To them Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom.

爾曹由天主得與基督耶穌連屬、天主使彼為我智慧、使我因彼稱義、成聖、得贖、

一切智慧知識、皆蓄積隱藏於基督內、

因十字架之道、在彼淪亡者視為愚、惟在我儕得救者、則視為天主之大能、

我儕知萬事有益於愛天主者、即循其旨而蒙召也、天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、其所預定者、亦召之、所召者、亦稱之為義、所稱義者、亦榮之、○

天主已召爾、得與其子我主耶穌基督連屬、彼乃誠信也、○

我不以基督福音為恥、因此福音、乃天主之大能以救諸信者、先猶太人、後希拉人、

在主道道或作造化之始、我為主所有、即在太初、在造物之先、在萬世之先、在元始、尚未有地、我已被立、被立或作受膏未有深淵、未有大水之泉源、我已先生、山嶽尚未奠定、岡陵尚未有之先、我已先生、主尚未造大地田野及寰宇之高壤、我已在矣、主創造穹蒼、使空氣四周涵蓋大淵、我已同在、主在上鋪張天雲、使淵泉洶湧、為海定限、使水不越岸、並立大地之根基、其時我與主偕在為巧匠、日日為主所悅、日日為主所悅或作日日喜悅不勝恆踴躍於主前、

以聖德之神論之、因其由死復活、以大權能明證為天主之子、即我主耶穌基督、

惟有道者、皆以道為是、或作惟上智之子必以上智為是○

是以天主之智曾言曰、我將遣先知及使徒就彼、有為其所殺、有為其所窘逐、

智慧大呼、明哲發聲、

書達在哥林多之天主教會、因耶穌基督成聖、蒙召為聖徒、及各處籲我主耶穌基督名者、或於彼處、或於我處、或於彼處或於我處或作耶穌基督乃彼與我之主

即我儕為天主所召者、不但屬猶太人、亦屬異邦人、天主之志既如此、我儕尚何言乎、
