這樣，我們就被看做是神的假見證人，因為我們見證了有關神的事，說神使基督復活了，如果死人真不會復活，神就沒有使基督復活；

死者不起、則上帝未嘗起基督、而我證其起之、適為妄證於上帝、

死者不甦、則上帝未甦基督、而吾證上帝甦之、則為妄證、

若死者不復活、則天主未使基督復活、而我儕證天主曾使之復活、是我儕為天主妄證矣、

不寧惟是、吾人將為天主之偽證矣。蓋死者苟無復活、則天主實未復活基督、而吾人強為之證曰、天主已復活之矣、是非偽證而何。

And we apostles would all be lying about God— for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead.

God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death.

If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised;

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for him?Would you show partiality to him or argue the case in his defense?Would it go well if he examined you? Could you deceive him as you would deceive a man?Surely he would rebuke you if you secretly showed partiality.

I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
