Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.

I want to say something about our brother Apollos. I tried my best to get him to go to you with the others. But he didn’t want to go right now. He will go when he can.

有一个生在亚历山大的犹太人，名叫亚波罗，来到以弗所，他很有口才，很会讲解圣经。这人已经在主的道路上受了训练，心里火热，精确地讲论和教导耶稣的事；可是他只知道约翰的洗礼。他开始在会堂里放胆讲道；百基拉、亚居拉听见，就接他来，将神的道路给他更精确地讲解。他想要往亚该亚去，弟兄们就勉励他，并写信请门徒们接待他，他到了那里，多多帮助那些蒙恩信主的人，因为他在公众面前极力驳倒犹太人，引圣经证明耶稣是基督。亚波罗在哥林多的时候，保罗经过了内陆地区，来到以弗所，在那里他遇见几个门徒，

或保罗，或亚波罗，或矶法，或世界，或生，或死，或现今的事，或将来的事，全是你们的，

凡事都有定期，天下每一事务都有定时。

保罗讲论公义、节制和将来的审判，腓力斯害怕起来，就回答：“你暂且去吧！等我有机会时再来叫你。”

但到了我们救主神的恩慈和慈爱显明的时候，

有一天，恰巧是希律的生日，希律摆设宴席，请了大臣、千夫长和加利利的领袖。
