Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?“ Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you— you of little faith! Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?“ And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you— you of little faith? Then give it back.Do the same if you find their donkey or cloak or anything else they have lost. Do not ignore it.If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Dân Số Ký 22 28-Dân Số Ký 22 35
Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam,“ What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?”Balaam answered the donkey,“ You have made a fool of me! If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now.”The donkey said to Balaam,“ Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?”“ No,” he said. Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown. The angel of the Lord asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.”Balaam said to the angel of the Lord,“ I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”The angel of the Lord said to Balaam,“ Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials. (niv)
