人若说“我认识他”，却不遵守他的诫命，便是说谎话的，真理也不在他心里了。

人若自言與之相識、而不守其誡命、是為誑者、而無真理存乎其衷。

Whoever says,“ I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

Suppose someone says,“ I know him.” But suppose this person does not do what God commands. Then this person is a liar and is not telling the truth.

Whoever says“ I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

If someone claims,“ I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.

The one who says,“ I have come to know him,” and yet doesn’t keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The one who says,“ I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

He who says,“ I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

The one who says,“ I have come to know Him,” yet doesn't keep His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The one who says“ I have come to know God” and yet does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in such a person.

One who says,“ I know him,” and doesn’t keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. (niv)

They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (niv)

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (niv)

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (niv)
