于是，他们来到吉甲，在耶和华面前立扫罗为王，又向耶和华献上平安祭。扫罗和全体以色列人都非常欢喜。

以上这些人都是能征善战的勇士，他们诚心诚意地到希伯仑拥立大卫做以色列王，其余的以色列人也都万众一心地要立大卫做王。他们在那里与大卫一起吃喝了三天，因为他们的亲族为他们预备了食物。他们周围的人，远至以萨迦、西布伦和拿弗他利支派的人，都用驴、骆驼、骡子和牛驮来面饼、无花果饼、葡萄干、酒和油，又牵来许多牛和羊，以色列境内充满了欢乐。

她看见王照例站在柱旁，百夫长和吹号的人侍立在王左右，众人都欢呼吹号，便撕裂衣服喊叫：“反了！反了！”

‘你们一听见角、笛、弦琴、竖琴、瑟、笙等各种乐器奏响，就要叩拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

耶和华掌权，大地要欢欣！众海岛要快乐！

第七位天使吹响号角的时候，天上有大声音说：“世上的国度现在已经属于我们的主和祂所立的基督了。祂要做王，直到永永远远。”在上帝面前，坐在自己座位上的二十四位长老都一同俯伏敬拜上帝，说：“主啊！昔在、今在的全能上帝啊！我们感谢你，因你已施展大能做王了。世上的列国曾向你发怒，现在是你向他们发烈怒的日子了。时候已到，你要审判死人，你要赏赐你的奴仆、先知、圣徒和一切不论尊卑敬畏你名的人，你要毁灭那些毁坏世界的人。”
