But Rehoboam rejected the advice the elders gave him and consulted the young men who had grown up with him and were serving him.

爾棄我道、不受我教、

耶和華震怒、遣先知告亞馬謝曰、爾戮異邦人、其上帝猶不能援手、爾反崇之曷故。言時、王阻之、曰、爾非言官、諫我奚為、獨不畏罪乎。先知不敢復諫、曰、爾弗聽從、我知上帝必敗爾。

不受我教、藐視我道、

智之心捷若右手、愚之心拙若左手。愚者行於途、貢其不智之形、眾人目擊。

訓人以智、迪人以理、得明至道、得秉公義、使拙者明徹、少者通達。哲者聞此而增其學、明者聞此而益其慧。

智者忠告而善道之、使人順受、猶金製耳環物飾。
