凡素來認識掃羅的人看見他和神言人們一同傳神言，都彼此對說：『基士的兒子遇見甚麼啦？掃羅也在神言人中間麼？』

這抹牆的就是以色列的神言人，他們指着耶路撒冷而傳神言，為了這城見了異象，說有平安，其實沒有平安：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

上帝迎見巴蘭；巴蘭對上帝說：『我已經擺好了七座祭壇，在每座祭壇獻上一隻公牛、一隻公綿羊。』永恆主將話語放在巴蘭口中，又說：『你回到巴勒那裏、要這樣這樣說。』

人若不曉得督導自己的家，怎能照顧上帝的教會呢？

當那日，必有許多人要對我說：「主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳講過神言，奉你的名趕過鬼，奉你的名行過許多異能麼？」

『人子啊，你要傳神言攻擊以色列的神言人；要傳神言對那些隨着自己心意傳神言的人說：「你們要聽永恆主的話！」

巴蘭舉目，看見以色列人一族派一族派地住着營，上帝的靈就感動他；

卻因自己的違法受了斥責。不能出聲說話的驢竟用人的聲音發出言論來，攔阻那神言人的瘋狂！

有人從那裏經過，看見屍體丟在路上，獅子站在屍體旁邊，就來，在老神言人所住的城裏述說這事。
