Then he went out and found the body lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey.

Then he went out. He found the body of the man of God lying on the road. The donkey and the lion were standing beside it. The lion hadn’t eaten the body. It hadn’t attacked the donkey either.

And he went and found his body thrown in the road, and the donkey and the lion standing beside the body. The lion had not eaten the body or torn the donkey.

於是二人走近來，照著摩西的吩咐，把他們連同他們的衣服抬到營外去。

你要喝那溪裡的水，我已經吩咐烏鴉在那裡供養你。”

那些總督、總監、省長和王的謀臣，都聚攏來看這三個人，見火無力傷他們的身體；他們的頭髮沒有燒焦，衣服沒有燒壞，身上也沒有火燒的氣味。尼布甲尼撒說：“沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的神是應當稱頌的，他差遣使者拯救那些倚靠他的僕人；他們違抗王的命令，寧願捨命，除了自己的神以外，不肯事奉敬拜任何其他的神。

我的神差遣了他的使者，封住獅子的口，使牠們沒有傷害我，因為我在神面前是清白的；王啊！在你面前我也沒有作過任何錯事。”王就非常高興，吩咐人把但以理從坑裡拉上來。於是但以理從坑裡被拉上來，他身上一點損傷也沒有，因為他信靠他的神。王下令，人就把那些誣衊控告但以理的人，連同他們的妻子和兒女都一起帶來，扔在獅子坑中；他們還沒有下到坑底，獅子就抓住他們，把他們所有的骨頭都咬碎了。

忽然發生了大地震，以致監牢的地基都搖動起來，所有的監門立刻開了，囚犯的鎖鍊都鬆了。

那時有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們燒滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。

烏鴉早晨給他送餅和肉來，晚上也送餅和肉來，他也喝那溪裡的水。

由於王的命令緊急，窰又燒得非常猛烈，那些把沙得拉、米煞和亞伯尼歌抬起來的人，都被火燄燒死了。

你們要從地上讚美耶和華。海怪和一切深海，火和冰雹，雪和雲霧，執行他命令的狂風，

‘你們連我都不懼怕嗎？在我面前你們也不戰兢嗎？’這是耶和華的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永遠的界限，海就不能越過；波浪翻騰，卻不能漫過；怒濤澎湃，仍無法逾越。可是這人民，竟存著頑梗悖逆的心；背我而去。’

他們藉著信，就戰勝了敵國，伸張了正義，得到了應許，堵住了獅子的口，消滅了烈火的威力，逃脫了刀劍的鋒刃，軟弱變成剛強，在戰爭中顯出大能，把外國的軍隊擊退。

說：‘你只可到這裡，不可越過，你狂傲的波浪要在這裡止住。’
