Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done.

Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord. That’s what King David had done.

Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.

Now Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord, like his father David.

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as did David his father.

Asa did what the LORD approved like his ancestor David had done.

亚撒行耶和华—他神眼中看为善为正的事，

亚撒呼求耶和华—他的神说：“耶和华啊，在强弱之间，惟有你能帮助。耶和华—我们的神啊，求你帮助我们，因为我们仰赖你，奉你的名来抵挡这大军。耶和华啊，你是我们的神，不要让人胜过你。”

那时，哈拿尼先见来见犹大王亚撒，对他说：“因你仰赖亚兰王，没有仰赖耶和华—你的神，所以亚兰王的军兵逃脱了你的手。古实人和路比人的军队不是非常强大吗？他们的战车骑兵不是极多吗？只因你仰赖耶和华，他就将他们交在你手里。因为耶和华的眼目遍察全地，要坚固向他存纯正之心的人。你在这事上行得愚昧；因此，以后你必有战争。”亚撒恼恨先见，为了这事向他发怒，将他囚在监里。那时亚撒也虐待一些百姓。

亚比央行他父亲从前所犯一切的罪，他的心不像他曾祖父大卫以纯正的心顺服耶和华—他的神。

只是丘坛还没有从以色列中废去，然而亚撒一生有纯正的心。
