He even deposed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive image for the worship of Asherah. Asa cut it down and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

He even removed his grandmother Maakah from her position as queen mother. That’s because she had made a pole used to worship the female god named Asherah. The Lord hated it. So Asa cut it down. He burned it in the Kidron Valley.

He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. And Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron.

又把他们铸造的牛犊熔化掉，磨成粉末撒在水面上，叫以色列百姓喝。

我要毁灭你们的丘坛，拆掉你们的香坛，把你们的尸体堆在你们毫无气息的神像上。我厌恶你们。

以色列人烧毁全城和城内一切的东西，只把金银和铜铁器皿放在耶和华的库房里。

但为了叫福音的真理常在你们当中，我们丝毫没有向他们妥协。至于那些德高望重的教会领袖，他们的地位对我来说无关紧要，因为上帝不以貌取人。他们对我所传的并没有增加什么。

“如果你们的兄弟、儿女、爱妻或挚友引诱你们去拜你们和你们祖先都不认识的神明，引诱你们去拜你们周围各族的神明，或在附近或远在天边，你们不可迁就、听从他们，不可怜惜他们，不可放过或包庇他们。必须处死他们。你们要首先下手，然后众人一起打死他们。你们要用石头打死他们，因为他们企图使你们背弃你们的上帝耶和华，祂曾把你们从受奴役之地——埃及领出来。这样，所有以色列人听了就会害怕，必无人再敢做这种恶事。

我焚烧了你们铸造的罪恶之物——牛犊像，把它磨成细粉，撒在从山上流下来的溪水中。

耶稣祷告完毕，就带着门徒渡过汲沦溪，进了那里的一个园子。

犹大人都为所起的誓而欢喜快乐，因他们诚心起誓、诚意寻求耶和华，耶和华就让他们寻见，并赐他们四境平安。亚撒王废除了他祖母玛迦的太后之位，因为她造了可憎的亚舍拉神像。亚撒将她的神像砍倒、打碎，烧毁在汲沦溪旁。尽管他还没有把丘坛从以色列除去，但他一生对耶和华忠心。他将他父亲和自己奉献给上帝的金银及器皿都带到上帝的殿里。从那时直到亚撒执政第三十五年，国中都没有战争。

为了听从你的话，遵守你的约，他们不畏冒犯父母，舍弃弟兄，抛下儿女。

他在耶路撒冷执政四十一年。他祖母是押沙龙的女儿玛迦。

“爱父母过于爱我的人不配做我的门徒；爱儿女过于爱我的人不配做我的门徒；

他推倒犹大各王在亚哈斯楼顶上建造的祭坛，摧毁玛拿西在耶和华殿的两个院子里所筑的祭坛，把它们打碎，把灰丢进汲沦溪。他污渎耶路撒冷东面、败坏山南面的丘坛。这些丘坛都是以色列王所罗门为西顿人可憎的神明亚斯她录、摩押人可憎的神明基抹和亚扪人可憎的神明米勒公建造的。他砸碎神柱，砍倒亚舍拉神像，用死人骨头填满那些地方。他拆掉伯特利高岗上的祭坛，即尼八的儿子耶罗波安诱使以色列人犯罪时建造的祭坛，把祭坛烧毁，捣碎成灰，又焚烧亚舍拉神像。

从今以后，我们不再以貌取人了，虽然我们曾这样看待基督，现在却不再这样看待祂了。

众人离开时，百姓都放声大哭。王带着所有的人过了汲沦溪，向旷野走去。

他拆除丘坛，砸碎神柱，砍倒亚舍拉神像，打碎摩西造的铜蛇，因为当时以色列人仍向铜蛇烧香，称之为尼忽士旦。

我看见他们不照福音的真理行，就当众对彼得说：“你身为犹太人，如果行事为人像外族人，不像犹太人，又怎能强迫外族人按犹太人的规矩生活呢？”

你们要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的神柱，砍下他们的亚舍拉神像，焚烧他们的偶像。

他在耶路撒冷执政三年，母亲是押沙龙的女儿玛迦。

若有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说，‘你不得活命，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。

众人在他面前拆毁巴力的祭坛，他砍掉高高的香坛，又把亚舍拉神像及雕刻和铸造的偶像磨成粉末，撒在祭拜它们之人的坟墓上，
