王死了以后，人们把他送回撒玛利亚，埋葬在那里。

腓利下到撒玛利亚城，宣讲基督。群众听了腓利所讲的，看见他所行的神迹，就同心听从了他的话。许多人有污灵附在他们身上，污灵大声喊叫了之后，就出来了；还有许多瘫子瘸子都医好了。在那城里，就大有欢乐。

何细亚在位第九年，亚述王占领了撒玛利亚，把以色列人掳到亚述去，安置他们在哈腊，在哈博河和歌散河一带，以及在玛代人的各城。

暗利与他的列祖同睡，埋葬在撒玛利亚。他的儿子亚哈接续他作王。犹大王亚撒第三十八年，暗利的儿子亚哈登基作以色列王。暗利的儿子亚哈在撒玛利亚作以色列王，共二十二年。

他在撒玛利亚建筑巴力庙，又在庙里为巴力立了一座祭坛。

亚述王从巴比伦、古他、亚瓦、哈马和西法瓦音带人来，安置在撒玛利亚的城市，代替以色列人。他们就得了撒玛利亚作产业，住在它的城市中。

于是以利亚去了，要在亚哈面前出现。那时撒玛利亚发生十分严重的饥荒。
