猶大王亞哈斯在位第十二年，以拉的兒子何細亞在撒瑪利亞登基，統治以色列九年。

亞蘭王便．哈達聚集他的全軍，有三十二個王與他在一起，他帶著戰馬和戰車，上去圍困撒瑪利亞，攻打那城。

王死了以後，人們把他送回撒瑪利亞，埋葬在那裡。

腓利下到撒瑪利亞城，宣講基督。群眾聽了腓利所講的，看見他所行的神蹟，就同心聽從了他的話。許多人有污靈附在他們身上，污靈大聲喊叫了之後，就出來了；還有許多癱子瘸子都醫好了。在那城裡，就大有歡樂。

何細亞在位第九年，亞述王佔領了撒瑪利亞，把以色列人擄到亞述去，安置他們在哈臘，在哈博河和歌散河一帶，以及在瑪代人的各城。

暗利與他的列祖同睡，埋葬在撒瑪利亞。他的兒子亞哈接續他作王。猶大王亞撒第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基作以色列王。暗利的兒子亞哈在撒瑪利亞作以色列王，共二十二年。

他在撒瑪利亞建築巴力廟，又在廟裡為巴力立了一座祭壇。

亞述王從巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬和西法瓦音帶人來，安置在撒瑪利亞的城市，代替以色列人。他們就得了撒瑪利亞作產業，住在它的城市中。

於是以利亞去了，要在亞哈面前出現。那時撒瑪利亞發生十分嚴重的饑荒。
