暗利與他祖先同睡，葬在撒瑪利亞，他兒子亞哈接續他作王。猶大王亞撒第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基作以色列王。暗利的兒子亞哈在撒瑪利亞作以色列王二十二年。

又在撒瑪利亞建巴力廟，在廟裏為巴力築壇。

亞述王從巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬和西法瓦音遷移人來，安置在撒瑪利亞的城鎮，代替以色列人；他們就佔據了撒瑪利亞，住在城中。

以利亞就去，要讓亞哈見到他。那時，撒瑪利亞的饑荒非常嚴重。
