Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said,“ Get up and eat.”

Then he lay down under the bush. And he fell asleep. Suddenly an angel touched him. The angel said,“ Get up and eat.”

And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him,“ Arise and eat.”

He stretched out and fell asleep under the shrub. All of a sudden an angelic messenger touched him and said,“ Get up and eat.”

He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, an angel touched him, and said to him,“ Arise and eat!”

When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep.He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.There above it stood the Lord, and he said:“ I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (niv)

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (niv)

He said:“ I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end. (niv)

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (niv)

while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice. (niv)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (niv)

Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. (niv)

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. (niv)

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up.“ Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. (niv)
