And behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel and said,“ Thus says the Lord, Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will give it into your hand this day, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

有先知進見以色列王亞哈曰、耶和華云、此羣眾、爾見之乎、今日我必付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

Meanwhile a prophet came to Ahab king of Israel and announced,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do you see this vast army? I will give it into your hand today, and then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

During that time a prophet came to Ahab, the king of Israel. He announced,“ The Lord says,‘ Do you see this huge army? I will hand it over to you today. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Then a certain prophet came to see King Ahab of Israel and told him,“ This is what the Lord says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

A prophet approached King Ahab of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Do you see this whole huge army? Watch, I am handing it over to you today so that you may know that I am the LORD.’”

Now behold, a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I am going to hand them over to you today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Suddenly a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

And, behold, a prophet came near unto Ahab king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thy hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

A prophet came to Ahab king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do you see this entire great army? Watch, I am handing it over to you today so that you may know that I am Yahweh.’”

And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I[ am] the LORD.

Now a prophet visited King Ahab of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ Do you see this huge army? Look, I am going to hand it over to you this very day. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not yet mount an attack against it.When the house of David was told,“ Syria is in league with Ephraim,” the heart of Ahaz and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.And the Lord said to Isaiah,“ Go out to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-jashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer’s Field.And say to him,‘ Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.Because Syria, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,“ Let us go up against Judah and terrify it, and let us conquer it for ourselves, and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,”thus says the Lord God:“‘ It shall not stand, and it shall not come to pass.For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. And within sixty-five years Ephraim will be shattered from being a people.And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all.’”

So now, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the Lord.”

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I had brought them out.

And the slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am the Lord.

And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said,“ O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.”

But the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them, and he turned toward them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

Once when the king of Syria was warring against Israel, he took counsel with his servants, saying,“ At such and such a place shall be my camp.”But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel,“ Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are going down there.”And the king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God told him. Thus he used to warn him, so that he saved himself there more than once or twice.And the mind of the king of Syria was greatly troubled because of this thing, and he called his servants and said to them,“ Will you not show me who of us is for the king of Israel?”And one of his servants said,“ None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

But Elisha said,“ Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.”

that they may know that you alone, whose name is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
