So Ahab went home, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my ancestors.” He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat.

And Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, for he had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and would eat no food.

So Ahab went home angry and sullen because of Naboth’s answer. The king went to bed with his face to the wall and refused to eat!

So Ahab went to his palace resentful and angry because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had told him. He had said,“ I will not give you my ancestors’ inheritance.” He lay down on his bed, turned his face away, and didn’t eat any food.

So Ahab entered his house sullen and furious because of the answer that Naboth the Jezreelite had given to him, since he said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned his face away, and ate no food.

The king of Israel was angry. He was in a bad mood. He went back to his palace in Samaria.

But each person is tempted by their own evil desires. These desires lead them on and drag them away.

But he wasn’t pleased with Cain and his offering. So Cain became very angry, and his face was sad.Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why are you looking so sad?Do what is right and then you will be accepted. If you don’t do what is right, sin is waiting at your door to grab you. It desires to control you. But you must rule over it.”Cain said to his brother Abel,“ Let’s go out to the field.” So they went out. There Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Don’t give the devil a chance.

The next morning Balaam got up. He said to Balak’s officials,“ Go back to your own country. The Lord won’t let me go with you.”So the Moabite officials returned to Balak. They said,“ Balaam wouldn’t come with us.”

The end of a matter is better than its beginning. So it’s better to be patient than proud.Don’t become angry quickly. Anger lives in the hearts of foolish people.

He asked Amnon,“ You are the king’s son, aren’t you? So why do you look so worn out every morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon answered,“ I’m in love with Tamar. She’s the sister of my brother Absalom.”

Anger kills foolish people. Jealousy destroys those who are childish.

But Naboth replied,“ May the Lord keep me from giving you the land my family handed down to me.”

Amnon wanted his sister Tamar so much that it made him sick. She was a virgin, and it seemed impossible for him to do what he wanted with her.

“ How terrible it will be for the Babylonians! They build their kingdom with money that they gained by cheating others. They have tried to make the kingdom as secure as possible. After all, they did not want to be destroyed.They have planned to wipe out many nations. But they have brought shame on their own kingdom. So they must pay with their own lives.The stones in the walls of their homes will cry out. And the wooden beams will echo that cry.“ How terrible it will be for the Babylonians! They build cities by spilling the blood of others. They establish towns by doing what is wrong.

Being satisfied with what you have is better than always wanting more. That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind.

But God spoke to Jonah. God said,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ It is,” Jonah said.“ In fact, I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

But to Jonah this seemed very wrong. He became angry.

But those who are evil are like the rolling sea. It never rests. Its waves toss up mud and sand.“ There is no peace for those who are evil,” says my God.
