All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing.“ Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious,” they said,“ for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”

All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing.“ Attack Ramoth Gilead,” they said.“ Win the battle over it. The Lord will hand it over to you.”

And all the prophets prophesied so and said,“ Go up to Ramoth-gilead and triumph; the Lord will give it into the hand of the king.”

All the other prophets agreed.“ Yes,” they said,“ go up to Ramoth gilead and be victorious, for the Lord will give the king victory!”

And all the prophets were prophesying the same:“ March up to Ramoth-gilead and succeed, for the LORD will hand it over to the king.”

約西亞卻不轉臉離開他，反而改裝要與他打仗。他不聽從神藉尼哥的口所說的話，就來到米吉多平原爭戰。

那些戰車長看見約沙法就說：「這一定是以色列王！」他們轉過去與他交戰，約沙法就呼喊起來。戰車長見他不是以色列王，就轉身不追他了。有一人開弓，並不知情，箭恰巧射入以色列王鎧甲的縫裏。王對駕車的說：「我受重傷了，你掉過車來，載我離開戰場！」那日，戰況越來越猛，有人扶着王站在戰車上，面對亞蘭人。到了傍晚，王就死了，血從傷處流入車底。約在日落的時候，有喊聲傳遍軍中，說：「大家各歸本城，各歸本地吧！」

於是以色列王召集先知，約有四百人，問他們說：「我可以上去攻打基列的拉末嗎？還是不要上去呢？」他們說：「可以上去，因為主必將那城交在王的手裏。」約沙法說：「這裏還有沒有耶和華的先知，我們好求問他呢？」以色列王對約沙法說：「還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我真的很恨他，因為他對我說預言，從不說吉言，總是說凶信。」約沙法說：「請王不要這麼說。」以色列王召了一個官員來，說：「你快去，把音拉的兒子米該雅召來。」以色列王和猶大王約沙法在撒瑪利亞城門前的禾場，各穿朝服，坐在寶座上，所有的先知都在他們面前說預言。基拿拿的兒子西底家造了鐵角，說：「耶和華如此說：『你要用這些角牴觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。』」所有的先知也都這樣預言說：「可以上基列的拉末去，必然得勝，因為耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。」那去召米該雅的使者對他說：「看哪，眾先知都異口同聲向王說吉言，你也跟他們說一樣的話，說吉言吧！」米該雅說：「我指着永生的耶和華起誓，耶和華向我說甚麼，我就說甚麼。」米該雅來到王那裏，王問他：「米該雅，我們可以上去攻打基列的拉末嗎？還是不要上去呢？」他對王說：「你可以上去，必然得勝，耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。」
