But the king said to him,“ How many times shall I make you swear that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

王对他说：“我当嘱咐你几次，你才奉耶和华的名向我说实话呢？”

王对他说：“我要你发誓多少次，你才会奉耶和华的名向我说实话呢？”

王对他说：“我要你发誓多少次，你才会奉耶和华的名向我说实话呢？”

王却说：“我要嘱咐你多少次，你才肯奉耶和华的名对我说实话呢？”

王对他说：“我要嘱咐你多少次，你才奉耶和华的名对我只说真话呢？”

王對他說：「我當囑咐你幾次，你才奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？」

王對他說：「我要你發誓多少次，你才會奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？」

王對他說：「我要你發誓多少次，你才會奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？」

王卻說：「我要囑咐你多少次，你才肯奉耶和華的名對我說實話呢？」

王對他說：“我要囑咐你多少次，你才奉耶和華的名對我只說真話呢？”

王對他說：『我須要誓囑你幾次，你才奉永恆主的名不對我說別的、只說實話呢？』

王曰、我須幾次囑爾、奉耶和華名與我言、惟以誠實乎、

王曰、我豈不屢使爾、奉耶和華命、當以真實告我乎。

王謂之曰、我豈不屢使爾發誓、爾奉主名告我、惟以真實而告乎、

The king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

The king said to him,“ I’ve made you promise to tell the truth many times before. So don’t tell me anything but the truth in the name of the Lord.”

But the king replied sharply,“ How many times must I demand that you speak only the truth to me when you speak for the Lord?”

But the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear not to tell me anything but the truth in the name of the LORD?”

Then the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear that you will tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

So the king said to him,“ How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?

But the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear not to tell me anything but the truth in the name of Yahweh?”

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but[ that which is] true in the name of the LORD?

The king said to him,“ How many times must I make you solemnly promise in the name of the LORD to tell me only the truth?”

The king said to him,“ How many times do I have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in Yahweh’s name?”

that the Lord your God may show us the way we should go, and the thing that we should do.”Jeremiah the prophet said to them,“ I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your request, and whatever the Lord answers you I will tell you. I will keep nothing back from you.”Then they said to Jeremiah,“ May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act according to all the word with which the Lord your God sends you to us.Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we are sending you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,“ I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.”

And crying out with a loud voice, he said,“ What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me.”

And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying,“ Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances.Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

And the men of Israel had been hard pressed that day, so Saul had laid an oath on the people, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies.” So none of the people had tasted food.

But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him,“ I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

Joshua laid an oath on them at that time, saying,“ Cursed before the Lord be the man who rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho.“ At the cost of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest son shall he set up its gates.”

But the king said to him,“ How many times shall I make you swear that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”
