He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, because he followed the ways of his father and mother and of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.

Ahaziah did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He lived the way his father and mother had lived. He lived the way Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, had lived. Jeroboam had caused Israel to sin.

He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

作惡於主前、其父犯罪、使以色列人陷於罪、拿答從父所為、犯父所犯之罪、

自昔以來、未有若亞哈情甘自棄、行惡於主前者、蓋為其后耶洗別所慫恿、

亞哈謝效亞哈家之所為、行惡於主前、與亞哈家無異、蓋其為亞哈家之壻也、

亞哈謝在撒瑪利亞、由樓欄墜下致病、遣使者曰、爾往問以革倫之神巴力西卜、我此病得愈否、主之使者諭提斯比人以利亞曰、爾起、迎撒瑪利亞王之使者、謂之曰、以色列中豈無天主、爾曹乃往問以革倫之神巴力西卜乎、故主如是云、爾寢於床、不得再下、爾必死矣、以利亞遂往、使者返見王、王曰、爾何遽返、曰、有人迎我、告我曰、可返見遣爾之王、告之曰、主如是云、以色列中豈無天主、爾乃遣人往問以革倫之神巴力西卜乎、故主如是云、爾寢於床、不得再下、爾必死矣、曰、迎爾而以此言告爾者、其人之形狀如何、

亞哈謝亦效亞哈家之所為、蓋其從母言而行惡也、

我立於門前叩門、有聞我聲而啟門者、我必入其家、我與彼、彼與我、同席飲食、

乃敢作惡、較在爾先者尤甚、為己立他神、鑄偶像、干犯我怒、違棄我、故我降禍於耶羅波安之家、凡屬耶羅波安之男、或主、或作已長大之人或僕、或作未長大之人悉絕之於以色列人中、必盡除耶羅波安之家、如人之盡除糞穢然、凡屬耶羅波安者、死於城邑、必為犬所食、死於田野、必為空中鳥所食、此乃主所言、爾起、歸爾之家、爾足適入邑、爾子即死、以色列人眾必哀哭而葬之、屬耶羅波安者、惟此子得葬於墓、蓋在耶羅波安家、惟此一人、存善念向主以色列之天主、主必立一王治理以色列、屆期、必絕耶羅波安之家、其時速至、因以色列人作偶像、偶像原文作諸亞舍拉干犯主怒、故主必擊之、使如蘆葦搖於水中、拔以色列人之根、於所賜其列祖之美地、散之河外、因耶羅波安干犯罪戾、使以色列人陷於罪、故主必將以色列人付於敵手、○

行惡於主前、昔耶羅波安犯罪、使以色列人陷於罪、巴沙從其所為、犯其所犯之罪、

然使以色列人陷於罪者尼八子耶羅波安之罪、彼恆從之不離、○

約蘭見耶戶則曰、耶戶平安否、曰、爾母耶洗別之邪淫巫術、如是之多、焉能平安乎、

女退、問母曰、我當何求、母曰、求施洗約翰之首、

暗利子亞哈行惡於主前、較前之諸王尤甚、從尼八子耶羅波安之罪、尚為細事、更娶西頓王謁謁巴力女耶洗別為后、服事崇拜巴力、在撒瑪利亞建巴力殿、殿中為巴力建壇、亞哈亦作亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶亞哈所行、干主以色列天主之怒、較前之以色列諸王尤甚、

於是耶羅波安王籌思計議、造金犢二、謂民曰、爾上耶路撒冷甚難、以色列人歟、此即導爾出伊及之神、王置一犢在伯特利、一犢在但、此事陷民於罪、民往但崇拜牛犢、耶羅波安建邱壇之室、以不屬利未後裔之凡民、立為祭司、耶羅波安私設節期於八月之望、效猶大節期、上祭壇獻祭、在伯特利亦如斯行、祭所作之犢、又在伯特利為所築之邱壇立祭司、耶羅波安在私意所定之月、即八月、是月之望、為以色列人定為節期、上伯特利所築之壇、獻祭焚香、
