God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.

God made Solomon very wise. His understanding couldn’t even be measured. It was like the sand on the seashore. People can’t measure that either.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore,

God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore.

那麼我就照你的話行吧；看哪，我賜給你智慧聰明的心；在你以前沒有像你的，在你以後也沒有興起來像你的。

猶大人和以色列人很多，就像海邊的沙那麼多；他們都有的喫，有的喝，也都很快樂。

你們中間若有欠缺智慧的，他應當從那大量賜予萬人而不斥責人的上帝求，就必有所賜給他的。

以色列眾人聽見王所決定的判斷，就都敬畏王；因為見王心裏有上帝的智慧能行判斷。

惟獨從上頭來的智慧、第一是清潔，其次是和平、溫良、柔順，滿有憐恤和美善果子的，不含糊兩可、不假模假樣。

求你現在賜給我智慧學識，我好在這人民面前出入；因為誰能為你這麼龐大數目的人民判斷呢？』上帝對所羅門說：『你心裏既有這個意思：你不祈求財富、資產、尊榮，也不求滅恨你的人的性命，連長壽你也不祈求，只祈求智慧學識，好判斷我的人民、就是我立你作王來管理的；故此智慧學識就給予你；連財富、資產、尊榮、我也必給你；你以前諸王未曾有過這樣，你以後的也必沒有這樣。』

那時你看見、就有光彩，你心裏就又跳動又寬暢；因為大海豐富的貨物必轉來歸你，列國的資財必來歸你；

因為永恆主賜予智慧；知識和明達都由他口中而出；

所羅門王的財寶和智慧比地上的列王都大。全地上的人都想求見所羅門一面，要聽他的智慧、就是上帝所賜在他心裏的。

一切美好的施與和各樣完美的恩賞、都是從上頭、從眾光之父降下來的；在他並沒有變換或轉動之陰影。

求你使我明理，我好恪守你的律法，一心遵守。

誰使上帝喜悅，上帝就給誰智慧、知識、和喜樂；惟有罪人、上帝卻給他勞苦，叫他將所收聚所積蓄的歸給那使上帝所喜悅的人：這也是虛空，也是捕風。

那時米甸人、亞瑪力人、和東方人散布在山谷中，像蝗蟲那麼多；他們的駱駝無數，就像海邊的沙那麼多。

約瑟堆積麥子極多，就像海沙，多到無法計算，因為是不能計算的。

天上的萬象怎樣不能數算，海邊的沙怎樣不能斗量；我也必怎樣使我僕人大衛的後裔和伺候我的利未人增多繁殖。』

他們都為了行強暴而來；未到之先、人就懼怕他們。他們聚集被擄的人、多如塵沙。

我、我心裏自己說：『我得了大智慧，勝過我以前所有管理耶路撒冷的人；我的心也經驗了許多有智慧有知識的事。
