彼曰、自我導我民以色列出埃及、於以色列支派中、我未嘗簡一邑以建室、為我寄名之所、惟簡大衛、治我民以色列、

所許之言曰、自耶和華導以色列民、出埃及以來、迄於今日、未嘗於以色列支派中、遴選一邑、使人建殿、為籲名之所、惟簡大闢、治理我民。

自我導我民以色列出伊及以來、未曾於以色列諸支派中選一邑、使人為我名建殿、惟選大衛治理我民以色列、

‘ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’

‘ I brought my people Israel out of Egypt. Ever since, I haven’t chosen a city in any tribe of Israel where a temple could be built for my Name. But I have chosen David to rule over my people Israel.’

‘ Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

‘ From the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have never chosen a city among any of the tribes of Israel as the place where a Temple should be built to honor my name. But I have chosen David to be king over my people Israel.’”

“ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there. But I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.”

‘ Since the day that I brought My people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house so that My name would be there, but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我既厌弃扫罗作以色列的王，你为他悲伤要到几时呢？你将膏油盛满了角，我差遣你往伯利恒人耶西那里去；因为我在他众子之内，预定一个作王的。”

当夜，耶和华的话临到拿单说：“你去告诉我仆人大卫，说耶和华如此说：‘你岂可建造殿宇给我居住呢？自从我领以色列人出埃及直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，常在会幕和帐幕中行走。凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列一支派的士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民以色列的说：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’“现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。

愿你昼夜看顾这殿，就是你应许立为你名的居所；求你垂听仆人向此处祷告的话。

然而，耶和华以色列的神在我父的全家拣选我作以色列的王，直到永远。因他拣选犹大为首领；在犹大支派中拣选我父家，在我父的众子里喜悦我，立我作以色列众人的王。

那时要将我所吩咐你们的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的举祭，并向耶和华许愿献的一切美祭，都奉到耶和华你们神所选择要立为他名的居所。

自从我领以色列人出埃及，直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，乃从这会幕到那会幕，从这帐幕到那帐幕。凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民的说：你为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

因为耶和华拣选了锡安，愿意当作自己的居所，

耶和华说：“我必将犹大人从我面前赶出，如同赶出以色列人一般；我必弃掉我从前所选择的这城耶路撒冷和我所说立我名的殿。”

又拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，

但耶和华你们的神从你们各支派中选择何处为立他名的居所，你们就当往那里去求问，

但你们若归向我，谨守遵行我的诫命，你们被赶散的人虽在天涯，我也必从那里将他们招聚回来，带到我所选择立为我名的居所。’

还留一个支派给他的儿子，使我仆人大卫在我所选择立我名的耶路撒冷城里，在我面前长有灯光。

当时，你在异象中晓谕你的圣民，说：“我已把救助之力加在那有能者的身上；我高举那从民中所拣选的。我寻得我的仆人大卫，用我的圣膏膏他。

他说：‘自从我领我民出埃及地以来，我未曾在以色列众支派中选择一城建造殿宇为我名的居所，也未曾拣选一人作我民以色列的君；但选择耶路撒冷为我名的居所，又拣选大卫治理我民以色列。’”所罗门说：“我父大卫曾立意要为耶和华以色列神的名建殿，耶和华却对我父大卫说：‘你立意要为我的名建殿，这意思甚好；只是你不可建殿，惟你所生的儿子必为我名建殿。’“现在耶和华成就了他所应许的话，使我接续我父大卫坐以色列的国位，是照耶和华所说的，又为耶和华以色列神的名建造了殿。我将约柜安置在其中，柜内有耶和华的约，就是他与以色列人所立的约。”

你们且往示罗去，就是我先前立为我名的居所，察看我因这百姓以色列的罪恶向那地所行的如何。”
