泰爾王希蘭供應了所羅門所需要的一切香柏木、松木和黃金，所羅門王就把加利利一帶的二十座城送給他。

我大動工程，為自己建造房屋，栽種葡萄園，

耶和華的殿在所羅門執政第四年的西弗月奠基，在他執政的第十一年的布勒月，即八月全部按規格建成，歷經七年。所羅門用了十三年的時間為自己興建王宮。

凡我眼睛愛看的、心裡渴慕的，我都隨心所欲，盡情享受。我的心從勞碌中得到歡樂，這是我勞碌所得的回報。

滿足於眼前所有的，勝過心中貪想的。這也是虛空，如同捕風。

所羅門王完成耶和華殿的一切工作後，就把他父親大衛獻給耶和華的金銀和器具都搬進耶和華殿的庫房。
