爾曹重生、非由可壞之種、乃由不可壞之種、即賴永生天主恆存之道、

你们蒙了重生，不是由于能坏的种子，乃是由于不能坏的种子，是藉着神活泼常存的道。

蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

You have been born again by means of the living word of God. His word lasts forever. You were not born again from a seed that will die. You were born from a seed that can’t die.

當頌美我主耶穌基督之父天主、緣彼按其鴻慈、使我儕因耶穌基督由死復活得重生、有永生之望、

蓋天主之言、活潑有力、較兩刃之劍尤利、神氣與骨髓、無不剖入、心之意念、無不鑒察、

蓋此可壞者、將衣以不壞、此可死者、將衣以不死、可壞者既衣以不壞、可死者既衣以不死、則應經所載云、已獲大勝、死已消滅矣、

若是者、非由血氣、非由情慾、非由人意而生、乃由天主而生、○

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、人非重生、不能見天主之國、

天地可廢、我言不廢、

彼循己旨、以真道生我儕、使我儕於其所造之萬物中、為初實之果、○

萬物以道而造、凡受造者、無一非以之而造、

以永生不可壞天主之榮、易以偶像、髣髴可壞之人、及禽獸昆蟲之形、

凡先知有夢、則直示為夢、凡得我言、則以誠實示為我言、惟糠與麥、何能比儗、何能比儗或作何同之有此乃主所言、

爾曹播種、我必壞之、爾守節期而獻牲畜、我必以其糞撒於爾面、爾與斯糞同被移去、
