但是我告訴你們：要愛你們的仇敵，為那迫害你們的禱告。

你們要謹慎，無論是誰都不要以惡報惡，彼此間和對眾人都要追求做好事。

但是我告訴你們：不要與惡人作對。有人打你的右臉，連另一邊也轉過去由他打。

以惡報善的，禍患必不離他的家。

「可是我告訴你們這些聽的人，要愛你們的仇敵！要善待恨你們的人！要祝福詛咒你們的人！要為凌辱你們的人禱告！有人打你的臉，連另一邊也由他打。有人拿你的外衣，連內衣也由他拿去。

並且勞碌，親手做工；被人咒罵，我們就祝福；被人迫害，我們就忍受；被人毀謗，我們就勸導。直到如今，人還把我們看作世上的污穢，萬物中的渣滓。

要仁慈相待，存憐憫的心，彼此饒恕，正如神在基督裏饒恕了你們一樣。

你們若因犯罪受責打而忍耐，有甚麼可稱讚的呢？但你們若因行善受苦而忍耐，這在神看來是可讚許的。你們蒙召就是為此，因為基督也為你們受過苦，給你們留下榜樣，為要使你們跟隨他的腳蹤。「他並沒有犯罪，口裏也沒有詭詐。」他被辱罵不還口，受害也不說威嚇的話，只將自己交託給公義的審判者。

於是王要向他右邊的說：『你們這蒙我父賜福的，可來承受那創世以來為你們所預備的國。

我們知道，萬事都互相效力，叫愛神的人得益處，就是按他旨意被召的人。

那賜一切恩典的神曾在基督裏召了你們，得享他永遠的榮耀，在你們暫受苦難之後，必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們，建立你們。

他所預定的人，他又召他們來；所召來的人，他又稱他們為義；所稱為義的人，他又叫他們得榮耀。

說：「我必多多賜福給你；我必使你大大增多。」

凡為我的名撇下房屋，或是兄弟、姊妹、父親、母親、兒女、田地的，將得着百倍，並且承受永生。

耶穌剛上路的時候，有一個人跑來，跪在他面前，問他：「善良的老師，我該做甚麼事才能承受永生？」

有一個官問耶穌說：「善良的老師，我該做甚麼事才能承受永生？」

有一個律法師起來試探耶穌，說：「老師！我該做甚麼才可以承受永生？」
