曰、治理爾之王必如是、將取爾子使為之御車、充其馬卒、奔走於車前、使為千夫長、五十夫長、使為之耕田畝、刈禾稼、造戰具、製車器、取爾女使為製膏者、司膳者、炙餅者、取爾田畝葡萄園油果園之佳者、予其臣僕、爾播種所產、及爾葡萄園所出、什取其一、供其宦官及其群僕、取爾奴婢、健壯之少者、及爾之驢、以供其役、爾之羊群、什取其一、而爾曹將為其僕、斯時也、爾必因所選之王而呼籲主、惟主不俯聽爾、

爾既至主爾天主所賜爾之地、得而居之、意謂不如立王以治我、如我四周列國之民然、則必以主爾天主所選者、立之為王治理爾、惟可立爾同族同族原文作兄弟中一人為王治理爾、若外邦人、非爾同族人、同族人原文作兄弟下同不可立之為王治理爾、惟王者不可多馬、恐因欲得多馬、使民歸於伊及、而主曾諭爾曰、不可復往此途、或作惟王不可多馬勿使民歸伊及以增益馬匹蓋主曾諭爾曰不得復往此途不可多有妃嬪、恐其心偏邪、亦不可廣積金銀、既登王位、當由祭司利未人所守此律法之書、抄錄一卷、存於其所、畢生誦之、則可知畏其天主耶和華、恪守此律法一切言、遵行此諸律例、俾不心驕藐視同族人、不向左不向右偏離誡命、則可在以色列人中久居王位、爰及其子孫、

爾當勸人記憶服於執政者、秉權者、順從其命、隨時有備、行諸善事、

主天主如是云、如君以地賜子、則可歸子、蓋地原屬君之地業、其子終嗣之為恆產、如君以地賜臣僕、則歸臣僕、至於禧年仍歸君、君之地業、必歸其子、君不可虐取民業、佔據民地、必以己地賜子為業、免我民各失其業而散、○

居上位秉權者、人人當服之、蓋無權非由天主、凡秉權者皆天主所命、故抗秉權者、乃逆天主命、逆者自取罪戾、有司非使行善者畏、乃使行惡者畏、爾欲不畏秉權者乎、惟行善、則可得其褒獎、秉權者、天主之僕也、原以益爾、爾若行惡、則誠可畏、蓋彼不徒操生殺之權、操生殺之權原文作文作操刀乃為天主之僕、嚴加刑於作惡之人、故當服之、非但畏刑之故、亦因良心使然也、爾曹納稅、亦為是故、蓋秉權者、乃天主之役、常理此事、故所當予人者、則予之、稅當納者則納之、餉當輸者則輸之、當畏者則畏之、當敬者則敬之、

爾當為主服人間一切掌權者、或在上之王、或臣宰、即王所遣罰惡獎善者、

當為君王及一切秉權者祈禱、俾我儕可虔敬端莊、安然無虞以度日、

主天主如是云、惟爾以色列諸君歟、爾當知足、爾當知足或作爾曹當以所得之地為足勿復行勿復行原文作當除強暴攘奪、當為義行善、勿復勒索我民、此乃主天主所言、當用公平之權衡、公平之伊法、伊法量穀麵之量器約六斗公平之罷特、罷特量酒油之量器約容六十斤
