撒母耳對掃羅說：『你幹了糊塗事了；假使你遵守永恆主你的上帝所吩咐你的命令，那麼永恆主就會在以色列中堅立你的王位、直到永遠。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了愚蠢的事！你沒有遵守耶和華你的神所吩咐你的誡命。不然，耶和華就會堅立你在以色列的王權到永遠了；

撒母耳曰、爾所為者愚也、不遵爾上帝耶和華所命、如其遵之、則耶和華必在以色列中、堅爾國祚、歷久弗替、

撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、

撒母耳謂掃羅曰、爾之所行實愚、爾不守主爾天主所諭爾之命、若守之、則主必永堅爾國於以色列、

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You haven’t obeyed the command the Lord your God gave you. If you had, he would have made your kingdom secure over Israel for all time to come.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

“ How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. Had you kept it, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. It was at this time that the LORD would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

But Samuel said to Saul,“ You have acted foolishly! You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, for the Lord would now have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have been foolish. You have not kept the command which the Lord your God gave you. It was at this time that the Lord would have permanently established your reign over Israel,

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ You have made a foolish choice! You have not obeyed the commandment that the LORD your God gave you. Had you done that, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever!

Samuel said to Saul,“ You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you; for now Yahweh would have established your kingdom on Israel forever.

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.” (niv)

But Samuel replied:“ Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (niv)

“ I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.” Samuel was angry, and he cried out to the Lord all that night. (niv)

Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors— to one better than you. (niv)

“ I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied.“ But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned the Lord’s commands and have followed the Baals. (niv)

A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord. (niv)

I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?“ Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (niv)

The anger of the Lord burned against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said,“ Why do you consult this people’s gods, which could not save their own people from your hand?”While he was still speaking, the king said to him,“ Have we appointed you an adviser to the king? Stop! Why be struck down?” So the prophet stopped but said,“ I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.” (niv)

Is he not the One who says to kings,‘ You are worthless,’ and to nobles,‘ You are wicked,’ (niv)

Then Nathan said to David,“ You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. (niv)

Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you. (niv)

Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,for John had been saying to him:“ It is not lawful for you to have her.” (niv)
