「我後悔立掃羅為王了，因為他轉離不跟從我，也不執行我的命令。」撒母耳為此很苦惱，整夜向耶和華哀求。

“我立扫罗为王，我后悔了；因为他转去不跟从我，不遵守我的命令。”撒母耳便甚忧愁，终夜哀求耶和华。

“我立扫罗为王，我感到遗憾，因为他转去不跟从我，不遵守我的命令。”撒母耳就很生气，终夜哀求耶和华。

『我設立掃羅為王、我後悔了，因為他退轉而不跟從我，不實行我吩咐的話。』撒母耳很着急，終夜向永恆主哀呼。

我立掃羅為王、今則悔之、以其背我、而不我從、亦不遵行我命、撒母耳怒、終夜籲耶和華、

掃羅違我、不遵我命、昔立之為王、今則悔焉。撒母耳甚憂、終夜禱耶和華。

“ I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.” Samuel was angry, and he cried out to the Lord all that night.

“ I am very sad I have made Saul king. He has turned away from me. He has not done what I directed him to do.” When Samuel heard that, he was angry. He cried out to the Lord during that whole night.

“ I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned back from following me and has not performed my commandments.” And Samuel was angry, and he cried to the Lord all night.

“ I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.

“ I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following me and has not carried out my instructions.” So Samuel became angry and cried out to the LORD all night.

“ I regret that I have made Saul king, because he has turned back from following Me and has not carried out My commands.” And Samuel was furious and cried out to the Lord all night.

“ I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night.

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And Samuel was wroth; and he cried unto Jehovah all night.

“ I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My instructions.” So Samuel became angry and cried out to the Lord all night.

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul[ to be] king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

“ I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned away from me and has not done what I told him to do.” Samuel became angry and he cried out to the LORD all that night.

“ It grieves me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he has turned back from following me, and has not performed my commandments.” Samuel was angry; and he cried to Yahweh all night.

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了愚蠢的事！你沒有遵守耶和華你的神所吩咐你的誡命。不然，耶和華就會堅立你在以色列的王權到永遠了；

耶和華就後悔在地上造了人，心中憂傷。

天使向耶路撒冷伸手，要毀滅耶路撒冷時，耶和華後悔降這災禍，就對那毀滅百姓的天使說：「夠了，住手吧！」那時耶和華的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的打穀場那裡。

我的眼睛淚流成河，因為人們不遵守你的律法。

現在你要去攻打亞瑪力人，把他們所有的一切都滅絕淨盡，不可憐恤他們；無論是男女、幼童、嬰兒，還是牛羊、駱駝、驢子，都要殺滅。』」

但掃羅和軍兵顧惜亞甲和上好的牛羊、肥牛犢、羊羔以及一切美好的東西，不願意把這些滅絕淨盡；至於一切輕賤的、沒有價值的東西，他們都滅絕淨盡。

他口中的話語充滿奸惡和欺詐，他不再有智慧，也不再行善。

就在那些日子裡，耶穌有一次出去到山上禱告；他整夜向神禱告。

他們退縮、背信，如同他們的祖先；他們扭曲，如同鬆弛的弓。

撒母耳直到死的日子，再也沒有見掃羅，但撒母耳為掃羅悲慟。耶和華後悔立掃羅為以色列的王。耶和華對撒母耳說：「你為掃羅悲慟要到什麼時候呢？我已經厭棄他作以色列的王。你把犄角裝滿膏油，去吧，我要派遣你到伯利恆人耶西那裡，因為我在他的兒子中選定了一個王。」

至於那些偏行歪路的人，耶和華必把他們與作惡的人一同除去。願平安臨到以色列！

但是忍耐到底的，這個人將會得救。

我的義人將因信而活；如果他退縮，我的心就不喜悅他。」

耶和華起了誓，不改變心意，說：「你是照著麥基洗德的等級，永遠作祭司。」

他們用控告來回報我的愛，但我不斷地禱告。

「至於我，我絕不會停止為你們禱告而得罪耶和華，我必指教你們那美善、正直的道路。

我在基督裡說真話，不是在說謊；我的良心藉著聖靈與我一同作證：我極其憂傷，心裡時常苦痛。為了我的同胞，我的骨肉之親，就算我自己被詛咒、與基督分離，我也願意。

向耶和華禱告，說：「哦，耶和華啊！難道這不就是我還在本國時所說的那樣嗎？這正是我事先逃往塔爾施的原因，因為我知道：你是有恩惠、有憐憫的神，不輕易發怒，並有豐盛的慈愛，而且是施憐憫不降下災禍的那一位。

神看到他們所行的——從邪惡的道路上轉回了，神就施憐憫，沒有降下原先所說的要降在他們身上的災禍。

但是我告訴你們：要愛你們的敵人，為那些逼迫你們的人禱告，

耶穌快到耶路撒冷的時候，看見那城，就為她哭泣，說：「巴不得你在這日子裡明白關乎你和平的事，但如今這事在你眼前被隱藏了。因為日子將臨到你，你的敵人要築起壁壘包圍你，四面困住你。而且，他們要將你和你裡面的兒女猛摔在地，不容你裡面有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上，因為你沒有認出神臨到你的時候。」

他們屢次試探神，惹動以色列的聖者。
