Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,

Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.No one devoted, that shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hopethat the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
