Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” Yahweh said,“ Take a heifer with you, and say, I have come to sacrifice to Yahweh.

撒母耳说：“我怎能去呢？扫罗若听见，必要杀我。”耶和华说：“你可以带一只牛犊去，就说：‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

撒母耳说：“我怎么能去呢？扫罗一听见，就会杀我。”耶和华说：“你可以手里牵一头小母牛去，说：‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

撒母耳说：“我怎么可以去呢？扫罗知道了，一定会杀掉我。”耶和华说：“你带一头牛犊去，就说，‘我是来向耶和华献祭的。’

撒母耳说：“我怎能去呢？扫罗听见了，必定杀我。”耶和华说：“你可以带一头母牛犊去，就说：‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

撒母耳說：『我怎能去呢？掃羅聽見、必定殺害我的。』永恆主說：『你手裏可以牽着一隻母牛犢，就說：「我是為給永恆主獻祭來的。」

撒母耳說：「我怎麼能去呢？掃羅聽到了，就會殺我。」耶和華說：「你可以手裡牽一頭小母牛去，就說：『我是來向耶和華獻祭的。』

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” The Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? Suppose Saul hears about it. Then he’ll kill me.” The Lord said,“ Take a young cow with you. Tell the elders of Bethlehem,‘ I’ve come to offer a sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” And the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

But Samuel asked,“ How can I do that? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.”“ Take a heifer with you,” the Lord replied,“ and say that you have come to make a sacrifice to the Lord.

Samuel asked,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” The LORD answered,“ Take a young cow with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? When Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you, and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And Jehovah said, Take a heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to Jehovah.

Samuel asked,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” The Lord answered,“ Take a young cow with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear[ it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

Samuel replied,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” But the LORD said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

They answered them, and said,“ He is. Behold, he is before you. Hurry now, for he has come today into the city; for the people have a sacrifice today in the high place.

He said,‘ Please let me go, for our family has a sacrifice in the city. My brother has commanded me to be there. Now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me go away and see my brothers.’ Therefore he has not come to the king’s table.”

He said,“ How have I sinned, that you would deliver your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?As Yahweh your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said,‘ He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they didn’t find you.Now you say,‘ Go, tell your lord,“ Behold, Elijah is here.”’It will happen, as soon as I leave you, that Yahweh’s Spirit will carry you I don’t know where; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he can’t find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared Yahweh from my youth.Wasn’t it told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed Yahweh’s prophets, how I hid one hundred men of Yahweh’s prophets with fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?Now you say,‘ Go, tell your lord,“ Behold, Elijah is here”.’ He will kill me.”

then you shall tell them,‘ I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.’”Then all the princes came to Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they stopped speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

“ Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
