The men of Israel said,“ Have you seen this man who has come up? He has surely come up to defy Israel. The king will give great riches to the man who kills him, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

相語曰、汝見斯人乎、彼至侮以色列族、如有能殺之者、王將賜以厚財、以女妻之、蠲其全家應納之稅。

以色列人相語曰、爾見來之斯人乎、彼來欲侮辱以色列人、如有能殺之者、王必賚以厚財、以己女妻之、並在以色列中、免其全家納稅服役、

Now the Israelites had been saying,“ Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his family from taxes in Israel.”

The Israelites had been saying,“ Just look at how this man keeps daring Israel to fight him! The king will make the man who kills Goliath very wealthy. The king will also give his own daughter to be that man’s wife. The king won’t require anyone in the man’s family to pay any taxes in Israel.”

And the men of Israel said,“ Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

“ Have you seen the giant?” the men asked.“ He comes out each day to defy Israel. The king has offered a huge reward to anyone who kills him. He will give that man one of his daughters for a wife, and the man’s entire family will be exempted from paying taxes!”

Previously, an Israelite man had declared,“ Do you see this man who keeps coming out? He comes to defy Israel. The king will make the man who kills him very rich and will give him his daughter. The king will also make the family of that man’s father exempt from paying taxes in Israel.”

And the men of Israel said,“ Have you seen this man who is coming up? Surely he is coming up to defy Israel. And it will be that the king will make the man who kills him wealthy with great riches, and will give him his daughter and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

So the men of Israel said,“ Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel; and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel.”

And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.

Previously, an Israelite man had declared:“ Do you see this man who keeps coming out? He comes to defy Israel. The king will make the man who kills him very rich and will give him his daughter. The king will also make the household of that man’s father exempt from paying taxes in Israel.”

And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be,[ that] the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.

The men of Israel said,“ Have you seen this man who is coming up? He does so to defy Israel. But the king will make the man who can strike him down very wealthy! He will give him his daughter in marriage, and he will make his father’s house exempt from tax obligations in Israel.”

Caleb said,“ He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.”

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

Saul said to David,“ Behold, my elder daughter Merab, I will give her to you as wife. Only be valiant for me, and fight Yahweh’s battles.” For Saul said,“ Don’t let my hand be on him, but let the hand of the Philistines be on him.”David said to Saul,“ Who am I, and what is my life, or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be son- in- law to the king?”But at the time when Merab, Saul’s daughter, should have been given to David, she was given to Adriel the Meholathite as wife.Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved David; and they told Saul, and the thing pleased him.Saul said, I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him. Therefore Saul said to David,“ You shall today be my son- in- law a second time.”Saul commanded his servants,“ Talk with David secretly, and say,‘ Behold, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now therefore be the king’s son- in- law.’”Saul’s servants spoke those words in the ears of David. David said,“ Does it seem to you a light thing to be the king’s son- in- law, since I am a poor man, and little known?”The servants of Saul told him, saying,“ David spoke like this.”Saul said,“ Tell David,‘ The king desires no dowry except one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king’s enemies.’” Now Saul thought he would make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.When his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son- in- law. Before the deadline,David arose and went, he and his men, and killed two hundred men of the Philistines. Then David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, that he might be the king’s son- in- law. Then Saul gave him Michal his daughter as wife.

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.

Peter said to him,“ From strangers.” Jesus said to him,“ Therefore the children are exempt.

He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.

Also we inform you that it shall not be lawful to impose tribute, custom, or toll, on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, temple servants, or laborers of this house of God.
