so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied.

So Saul sent some men to capture him. When they got there, they saw a group of prophets who were prophesying. Samuel was standing there as their leader. Then the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men. So they also began to prophesy.

Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

法利賽人聽見羣眾對耶穌這樣議論紛紛，祭司長和法利賽人就打發聖殿警衛去捉拿他。

他們來到那座山，看哪，有一隊先知遇見掃羅。上帝的靈大大感動他，他就在先知中受感說話。

「以後，我要將我的靈澆灌凡有血肉之軀的。你們的兒女要說預言，你們的老人要做異夢，你們的少年要見異象。

掃羅派一些使者去捉拿大衛，米甲說：「他病了。」

掃羅派一些使者到大衛的房屋那裏守着他，等到天亮要殺他。大衛的妻子米甲對大衛說：「你今夜若不逃命，明日就要被殺。」

然後你要到上帝的山去，在那裏有非利士的駐軍。你到了城裏的時候，會遇見一隊先知從丘壇下來，前面有鼓瑟的、擊鼓的、吹笛的、彈琴的，他們都受感說話。耶和華的靈必大大感動你，你就與他們一同受感說話，轉變成另一個人。

若個個都作先知講道，偶然有不信的或是不懂方言的人進來，就被眾人勸戒，被眾人審問，他心裏的隱情被顯露出來，就必將臉伏地，敬拜上帝，宣告說：「上帝真的是在你們中間了。」

警衛們回到祭司長和法利賽人那裏。他們對警衛說：「你們為甚麼沒有帶他來呢？」警衛回答：「從來沒有像他這樣說話的！」於是法利賽人說：「你們也受了迷惑嗎？難道官長或法利賽人中有信他的嗎？但這些不明白律法的眾人是被詛咒的！」其中有尼哥德慕，就是從前去見過耶穌的，對他們說：「不先聽本人的口供，查明他所做的事，難道我們的律法還定他的罪嗎？」他們回答他說：「你也是出自加利利嗎？你去查考就知道，加利利是不出先知的。」

但作先知講道的，是對人說，要造就、安慰、勸勉人。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降給他的靈分給那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就說預言，以後卻沒有再說了。但有兩個人仍在營裏，一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達。他們本是在那些登記的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裏去。靈停在他們身上，他們就在營裏說預言。
