假如我父亲有意要害你，我若是不告诉你，不让你走，不使你平平安安地离去，愿耶和华加倍惩罚我。愿耶和华与你同在，好像从前与我父亲同在一样。

我父亲若有意害你，我不告诉你使你平平安安地走，愿耶和华重重地降罚与我。愿耶和华与你同在，如同从前与我父亲同在一样。

我父若欲害爾、我不示爾、使爾安然而去、則願耶和華罰約拿單維倍、惟願耶和華偕爾、如昔偕我父然、

則願耶和華罰我。如父欲害爾、我必告爾、使爾安然以去、願耶和華祐爾、如祐我父焉。

But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father.

But suppose he wants to harm you. And I don’t let you know about it. Suppose I don’t help you get away in peace. Then may the Lord punish me greatly. May he be with you, just as he has been with my father.

But should it please my father to do you harm, the Lord do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. May the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.

But if he is angry and wants you killed, may the Lord strike me and even kill me if I don’t warn you so you can escape and live. May the Lord be with you as he used to be with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may the LORD punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may leave safely. May the LORD be with you, just as he was with my father.

If it pleases my father to do you harm, may the Lord do so to me and more so, if I fail to inform you and send you away, so that you may go in safety. And may the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

may the Lord do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father to do you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

Jehovah do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do thee evil, if I disclose it not unto thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and Jehovah be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may God punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may go in peace. May the Lord be with you, just as He was with my father.

The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father[ to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

But if my father intends to do you harm, may the LORD do all this and more to Jonathan, if I don’t let you know and send word to you so you can go safely on your way. May the LORD be with you, as he was with my father.

Yahweh do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I don’t disclose it to you, and send you away, that you may go in peace. May Yahweh be with you, as he has been with my father.

大卫又吩咐以色列的众领袖帮助他的儿子所罗门，说：

深愿耶和华赐你聪明和智慧，使你治理以色列的时候，谨守耶和华你的神的律法。

你一生的日子必没有一人能在你面前立得住；我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我决不离开你，也不离弃你。

大卫又说：“那曾救我脱离狮爪和熊掌的耶和华，也必救我脱离这非利士人的手。”于是扫罗对大卫说：“你去吧！愿耶和华与你同在。”

你死在哪里，我也要死在哪里，葬在哪里。除非死亡把你我分离；如果我离开你，愿耶和华加倍惩罚我。”

以利说：“耶和华对你说了什么话呢？你不要向我隐瞒，他对你所说的一切话，如果你向我隐瞒一句，愿神对付你，并且加倍对付你。”

扫罗惧怕大卫，因为耶和华与大卫同在，却离开了扫罗。

但我的慈爱必不离开他，像离开在你面前的扫罗一样。

这些征兆临到你的时候，你就可以见机行事，因为神与你同在。

我吩咐你们的一切，都要教导他们遵守。这样，我就常常与你们同在，直到这世代的终结。”

扫罗取得了以色列的王国以后，常常攻打四围的一切仇敌，就是摩押人、亚扪人、以东人、琐巴众王和非利士人，他无论往哪里去，都得到胜利（按照《马索拉文本》，“得到胜利”作“惩罚”或“行邪恶”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。

你们又要对亚玛撒说：‘你不是我的骨肉至亲吗？我若不立你代替约押，在我面前作军队的元帅，愿神重重地惩罚我，并且加倍严厉地惩罚我。’”

扫罗听了这些话，神的灵大大感动他，他就非常忿怒。他牵来一对牛，把它们切成碎块，交给使者，送到以色列的全境去，说：“不出来跟从扫罗和撒母耳的，他的牛也必受到这样的对待。”因众民惧怕耶和华，他们就都出来，如同一人。扫罗在比色数点他们。以色列人共有三十万，犹大人有三万。扫罗对前来的使者说：“你们要这样对基列．雅比人说：‘明天中午，你们必得拯救。’”使者回去告诉基列．雅比人，他们就欢喜了。雅比人对亚扪人说：“明天我们出来向你们投降，你们看怎么好，就怎么待我们吧。”第二天，扫罗把众人分成三队。在晨更的时候，他们进了亚扪人的营中，击杀他们，直到中午；残余的人都星散了，他们中间没有两个人留在一起的。众民对撒母耳说：“那说‘扫罗怎能作我们的王’的是谁呢？把那些人交出来，我们好杀死他们。”扫罗说：“今天不可以杀人，因为今天是耶和华在以色列中施行拯救的日子。”

还在白天的时候，众人都来劝大卫吃点饭；大卫起誓说：“我若在日落以前吃饭或吃什么东西，愿神降罚我，重重地降罚我。”

耶洗别就差派一个使者去见以利亚说：“明天这个时候，如果我不使你的性命，像那些人一样，愿神明惩罚我，并且加倍惩罚我。”

如果我让这人一切所有的，就是一个男丁，留到明天早晨，神怎样惩罚大卫的仇敌，愿他也怎样加倍惩罚我。”

便．哈达又差派人去见亚哈说：“撒玛利亚的尘土若是足够跟从我的人每人捧一捧的话，愿神明惩罚我，并且加倍惩罚我。”

你们在我身上所学习、所领受、所听见、所看见的，这些事你们都应当实行；那么，赐平安的神就必与你们同在。
