如果我父亲有意要加害你，而我不告诉你，不送你平安地离开，就愿耶和华处置约拿单，重重地处置！愿耶和华与你同在，像他曾与我父亲同在那样。

我父親若有意要加害於你，而我若不向你披露、使你平平安安地走開，願永恆主這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。願永恆主和你同在，如同從前和我父親同在一樣。

如果我父親有意要加害你，而我不告訴你，不送你平安地離開，就願耶和華處置約拿單，重重地處置！願耶和華與你同在，像他曾與我父親同在那樣。

我父若欲害爾、我不示爾、使爾安然而去、則願耶和華罰約拿單維倍、惟願耶和華偕爾、如昔偕我父然、

則願耶和華罰我。如父欲害爾、我必告爾、使爾安然以去、願耶和華祐爾、如祐我父焉。

如我父欲加害於爾、亦必告爾、使爾安然而去、若不然、願主從重罰我、惟願主祐爾、如昔祐我父然、

But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father.

But suppose he wants to harm you. And I don’t let you know about it. Suppose I don’t help you get away in peace. Then may the Lord punish me greatly. May he be with you, just as he has been with my father.

But should it please my father to do you harm, the Lord do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. May the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.

But if he is angry and wants you killed, may the Lord strike me and even kill me if I don’t warn you so you can escape and live. May the Lord be with you as he used to be with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may the LORD punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may leave safely. May the LORD be with you, just as he was with my father.

If it pleases my father to do you harm, may the Lord do so to me and more so, if I fail to inform you and send you away, so that you may go in safety. And may the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

may the Lord do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father to do you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

Jehovah do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do thee evil, if I disclose it not unto thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and Jehovah be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may God punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may go in peace. May the Lord be with you, just as He was with my father.

The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father[ to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

大衛又說：「耶和華救我脫離獅子和熊的爪，他必救我脫離這非利士人的手。」掃羅對大衛說：「你去吧！耶和華必與你同在。」

你死在哪裏，我也死在哪裏，葬在哪裏。只有死能使你我分離；不然，願耶和華重重懲罰我！」

以利說：「他對你說了甚麼話，你不要向我隱瞞。你若將他對你所說的話向我隱瞞一句，願神重重懲罰你。」

掃羅懼怕大衛，因為耶和華離開自己，與大衛同在。

但我的慈愛仍不離開他，像離開在你面前所廢的掃羅一樣。

這徵兆臨到你，你就要趁機做該做的事，因為神與你同在。

凡我所吩咐你們的，都教導他們遵守。看哪，我天天與你們同在，直到世代的終結。」

掃羅執掌以色列的國權，攻打他四圍所有的仇敵，就是摩押人、亞捫人、以東人和瑣巴諸王，以及非利士人。他無論往何處去，都打敗他們。

你們要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉嗎？我若不立你在我面前取代約押永久作元帥，願神重重懲罰我！』」

掃羅聽見這些話，就被神的靈催逼，大發怒氣。他把一對牛切成小塊，吩咐使者傳送到以色列全境，說：「凡不出來跟隨掃羅和撒母耳的，就必這樣待他的牛。」耶和華使百姓懼怕，他們就都出來如同一人。掃羅在比色數點他們：以色列人有三十萬，猶大人有三萬。他們對那些來的使者說：「你們要對基列的雅比人這樣說，明天太陽快到中午的時候，你們必得解救。」使者回去告訴雅比人，他們就歡喜了。於是雅比人對亞捫人說：「明日我們出來歸順你們，可以照你們看為好的待我們。」第二日，掃羅把百姓分為三隊，在清晨換崗哨的時候入侵亞捫人的軍營，擊殺他們直到中午的時候。逃脫的人都分散了，甚至沒有兩個人同在一起。百姓對撒母耳說：「那說『掃羅豈能作我們的王』的是誰呢？把他們交出來，我們好處死他們。」掃羅說：「今日耶和華在以色列中施行拯救，所以今日不可處死人。」

白天的時候，眾百姓來勸大衛吃飯，但大衛起誓說：「我若在太陽未下山以前吃飯，或吃任何東西，願神重重懲罰我！」

耶洗別就派使者到以利亞那裏，說：「明日約這時候，我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，願神明重重懲罰我。」

凡屬拿八的男丁，我若留一個到明日早晨，願神重重懲罰大衛！」

便‧哈達又派人到亞哈那裏，說：「撒瑪利亞的塵土若足夠跟從我的軍兵每人手拿一把，願神明重重懲罰我！」

你們從我所學習的，所領受的，所聽見的，所看見的事，你們都要繼續去做，賜平安的神就必與你們同在。
