“ Why should he be put to death? What has he done?” Jonathan asked his father.

“ Why do you want to put him to death?” Jonathan asked his father.“ What has he done?”

Then Jonathan answered Saul his father,“ Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”

“ But why should he be put to death?” Jonathan asked his father.“ What has he done?”

And he said to them a third time,“ Why, what has this man done wrong? I have found in His case no grounds for a sentence of death; therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”

“ The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

Do not make friends with a person given to anger, Or go with a hot tempered person,

“ Our Law does not judge the person unless it first hears from him and knows what he is doing, does it?”

Then Saul hurled the spear, for he thought,“ I will pin David to the wall.” But David escaped from his presence, twice.

Then Jacob became angry and argued with Laban; and Jacob said to Laban,“ What is my offense? What is my sin that you have hotly pursued me?

This is an evil in everything that is done under the sun, that there is one fate for everyone. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of mankind are full of evil, and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterward they go to the dead.

Rescue those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to the slaughter, Oh hold them back!If you say,“ See, we did not know this,” Does He who weighs the hearts not consider it? And does He who watches over your soul not know it? And will He not repay a person according to his work?

Do not be eager in your spirit to be angry, For anger resides in the heart of fools.

If he says,‘ That is good,’ your servant will be safe; but if he is very angry, be aware that he has decided on evil.

And Saul tried to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he escaped from Saul’s presence, so that he stuck the spear into the wall. And David fled and escaped that night.Then Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him, in order to put him to death in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, informed him, saying,“ If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be put to death!”
