勇士啊，你為什麼以作惡自誇呢？神的慈愛是長存的！行事詭詐的人哪，你的舌頭謀算奸惡，如同磨利的剃刀！你喜愛作惡勝過行善，喜愛撒謊勝過說公正的話。細拉欺詐的舌頭啊，你喜愛一切吞滅人的話！為此神要把你永久拆毀，他會抓住你，把你從帳篷裡拖出來，把你從活人之地連根拔出。細拉義人看見，就會心存敬畏，並且譏笑這人：「看哪，這個人不把神當作自己的保障，他依靠自己豐盛的財富，靠自己的奸惡得勝。」至於我，我就像神殿中青翠的橄欖樹，永永遠遠依靠神的慈愛。我要稱謝你，直到永遠，因為你已經成就了這一切！我要在你忠信者面前仰望你的名，因為你的名是美好的！

看哪，掃羅正從田野趕著牛回來。掃羅問：「民眾怎麼了？他們竟然都在哭！」他們就把雅比人的話講述給掃羅。

於是牧養亞伯蘭牲畜的和牧養羅得牲畜的就起了紛爭。當時迦南人和比利洗人住在那地。亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「但願你我之間，你的牧人和我的牧人之間不要有爭吵，因為我們是一家人。

於是，第二天保羅帶了那四個人，與他們一起行了潔淨禮，進了聖殿，宣告潔淨期滿的日子，直到為他們每一個人的供物都被獻上為止。那七天快要結束的時候，從亞細亞省來的一些猶太人看到保羅在聖殿裡，就煽動整個人群，下手捉拿他，

基拉耳的牧人們與以撒的牧人們爭論，說：「這水是我們的。」以撒就給這口井起名為埃色，因為他們與他相爭。

『這子民用嘴唇尊重我，他們的心卻遠離我。

掃羅得了以色列的王位，攻打四圍一切仇敵，攻打摩押人、亞捫人、以東人、瑣巴的眾王和非利士人，凡他所到之處盡都征服。
