我发声哀告耶和华，发声恳求耶和华。我在他面前吐露我的苦情，陈说我的患难。我的灵在我里面发昏的时候，你知道我的道路。在我行的路上，敌人为我暗设网罗。求你向我右边观看，因为没有人认识我；我无处避难，也没有人眷顾我。耶和华啊，我曾向你哀求。我说：“你是我的避难所；在活人之地，你是我的福分。”求你侧耳听我的呼求，因我落到极卑之地；求你救我脱离逼迫我的人，因为他们比我强盛。求你领我出离被囚之地，我好称赞你的名。义人必环绕我，因为你是用厚恩待我。

我要时时称颂耶和华；赞美他的话必常在我口中。

在旷野、山岭、山洞、地穴，飘流无定，本是世界不配有的人。

那日大卫起来，躲避扫罗，逃到迦特王亚吉那里。亚吉的臣仆对亚吉说：“这不是以色列国王大卫吗？那里的妇女跳舞唱和，不是指着他说‘扫罗杀死千千，大卫杀死万万’吗？”大卫将这话放在心里，甚惧怕迦特王亚吉，就在众人面前改变了寻常的举动，在他们手下假装疯癫，在城门的门扇上胡写乱画，使唾沫流在胡子上。亚吉对臣仆说：“你们看，这人是疯子。为什么带他到我这里来呢？我岂缺少疯子，你们带这人来在我面前疯癫吗？这人岂可进我的家呢？”

玛利沙的居民哪，我必使那夺取你的来到你这里；以色列的尊贵人必到亚杜兰。

收割的时候，有三十个勇士中的三个人下到亚杜兰洞见大卫。非利士的军兵在利乏音谷安营。那时大卫在山寨，非利士人的防营在伯利恒。
