Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.

于是王对多益说：“你转过去把祭司击杀。”以东人多益就转过去把祭司击杀了。那一天，他杀了八十五个穿细麻布以弗得的人，

于是王对多益说：“你过去击杀祭司们。”以东人多益就过去击杀那些祭司。那天他杀了八十五个佩戴细麻布以弗得的人，

於是王對多益說：『你轉身去把祭司殺掉。』以東人多益就轉身去把祭司殺掉；那一天他殺死了八十五個人、都是帶着神諭像的。

於是王對多益說：「你過去擊殺祭司們。」以東人多益就過去擊殺那些祭司。那天他殺了八十五個佩戴細麻布以弗得的人，

王謂多益曰、爾往擊之、以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲聖衣者、八十五人、

The king then ordered Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king ordered Doeg,“ You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You do it.” So Doeg the Edomite turned on them and killed them that day, eighty five priests in all, still wearing their priestly garments.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed eighty-five men who wore linen ephods.

And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

Now Samuel was ministering before the Lord, as a boy wearing a linen ephod.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel declares,‘ I did indeed say that your house and the house of your father was to walk before Me forever’; but now the Lord declares,‘ Far be it from Me— for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant.Behold, the days are coming when I will eliminate your strength and the strength of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house.And you will look at the distress of My dwelling, in spite of all the good that I do for Israel; and there will never be an old man in your house.Yet I will not cut off every man of yours from My altar, so that your eyes will fail from weeping and your soul grieve, and all the increase of your house will die in the prime of life.

And this is just what I did in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up many of the saints in prisons, after receiving authority from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote against them when they were being put to death.And as I punished them often in all the synagogues, I tried to force them to blaspheme; and since I was extremely enraged at them, I kept pursuing them even to foreign cities.

On that day I will carry out against Eli everything that I have spoken in regard to his house, from beginning to end.For I have told him that I am going to judge his house forever for the wrongdoing that he knew, because his sons were bringing a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them.Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the wrongdoing of Eli’s house shall never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.”

With their wickedness they make the king happy, And the officials with their lies.

“ For Aaron’s sons you shall also make tunics; you shall also make sashes for them, and you shall make caps for them, for glory and for beauty.

The statutes of Omri And every work of the house of Ahab are maintained, And you walk by their plans. Therefore I will give you up for destruction, And your inhabitants for derision, And you will suffer the taunting of My people.”

And everyone who is left in your house will come to bow down to him for a silver coin or a loaf of bread and say,“ Please assign me to one of the priest’s offices so that I may eat a piece of bread.” ’ ”

Her leaders within her are roaring lions, Her judges are wolves at evening; They have no bones to gnaw in the morning.

Ephraim is oppressed, broken by judgment, Because he was determined to follow man’s command.

Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, to carry an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

So they conspired against him, and at the command of the king they stoned him to death in the courtyard of the house of the Lord.
