From there David went to Mizpah in Moab and said to the king of Moab,“ Would you let my father and mother come and stay with you until I learn what God will do for me?”

From there David went to Mizpah in Moab. He spoke to the king of Moab. He said,“ Please let my father and mother come and stay with you. Let them stay until I learn what God will do for me.”

And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab. And he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and my mother stay with you, till I know what God will do for me.”

Later David went to Mizpeh in Moab, where he asked the king,“ Please allow my father and mother to live here with you until I know what God is going to do for me.”

From there David went to Mizpeh of Moab where he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and mother stay with you until I know what God will do for me.”

And David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and my mother come and stay with you until I know what God will do for me.”

Then David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and mother come here with you, till I know what God will do for me.”

And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

From there David went to Mizpeh of Moab where he said to the king of Moab,“ Please let my father and mother stay with you until I know what God will do for me.”

扫罗执掌以色列的国权，攻打他四围所有的仇敌，就是摩押人、亚扪人、以东人和琐巴诸王，以及非利士人。他无论往何处去，都打败他们。

神说：‘当孝敬父母’；又说：‘咒骂父母的，必须处死。’你们倒说：‘无论谁对父母说：我所当供奉你的已经作了奉献，就可以不孝敬他的父亲。’这就是你们藉着传统，废了神的话。

所以，我一看出我的事怎样了结，我希望立刻差他去，但我靠着主自信我不久也会去。

士师统治的时候，国中有饥荒。在犹大的伯利恒，有一个人带着妻子和两个儿子往摩押地去寄居。这人名叫以利米勒，他的妻子名叫拿娥米；他两个儿子，一个名叫玛伦，一个名叫基连，都是犹大伯利恒的以法他人。他们到了摩押地，就住在那里。后来拿娥米的丈夫以利米勒死了，剩下她和两个儿子。两个儿子娶了摩押女子，一个名叫俄珥巴，第二个名叫路得，在那里住了约有十年。

耶和华的灵降在耶弗他身上，他就经过基列和玛拿西，经过基列的米斯巴，又从基列的米斯巴过到亚扪人那里。

我也娶玛伦的妻子摩押女子路得，好让死人可以在产业上留名，免得他的名在本族本乡的城门中消失了。你们今日都是证人。”

王对撒督说：“你将神的约柜请回城去。我若在耶和华眼前蒙恩，他必使我回来，再见到约柜和他的居所。倘若他说：‘我不喜爱你’；我在这里，就照他眼中看为好的待我！”

撒母耳就把一切话都告诉以利，并没有隐瞒。以利说：“他是耶和华，愿他照他看为好的去做。”

“当孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和华—你神所赐你的地上得以长久。

邻居的妇人给孩子起名，说：“拿娥米得了一个孩子了！”她们就给他起名叫俄备得。俄备得是耶西的父亲，是大卫的祖父。

约瑟安顿他的父亲和兄弟，遵照法老的命令，把埃及境内最好的地，就是兰塞地，给他们作为产业。

寡妇若有儿女，或有孙儿女，要让儿孙先在自己家中学习行孝，报答亲恩，因为这在神面前是可蒙悦纳的。
