他們圍繞著我，把我圍困，我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。他們如同蜜蜂圍繞著我，但他們要像燒荊棘的火熄滅；我靠著耶和華的名必除滅他們。他們（“他們”原文作“你”）極力推我，要我跌倒，耶和華卻幫助了我。

於是米甲從窗口把大衛縋下去，大衛就離開那裡逃走，逃脫了。

他們走了以後，兩人從井裡上來，去告訴大衛王，對大衛說：“你們要起來，趕快過河，因為亞希多弗已經定了這樣這樣的謀略攻擊你們。”於是大衛和跟隨他的眾人都起來，渡過約旦河；到了天亮，沒有一人還沒有渡過約旦河的。

有許多公牛圍著我，巴珊強壯的公牛困住了我。

他們追蹤我，現在把我圍困了（“他們追蹤我，現在把我圍困了”原文作“他們圍困了我們的腳步”）；他們瞪著眼，要把我推倒在地上。

耶和華啊！求你拯救我脫離惡人，求你保護我脫離強暴的人。他們心中圖謀惡事，整天挑啟爭端。他們使自己的舌頭尖利，如同蛇的舌頭；他們嘴裡有虺蛇的毒。（細拉）耶和華啊！求你保護我脫離惡人的手，保護我脫離強暴的人，因為他們圖謀推倒我。驕傲的人暗中布下陷阱害我，他們在路旁張開繩索作網，設下圈套陷害我。（細拉）我曾對耶和華說：“你是我的神；耶和華啊！求你留心聽我懇求的聲音！”主耶和華，拯救我的力量啊，在爭戰的日子，你保護了我的頭。耶和華啊！求你不要容惡人的心願得償，不要使他們的計謀成功，免得他們自高自大。（細拉）至於那些圍困我的人，願他們的頭被自己嘴唇的奸惡遮蓋。

他們上來遍滿了全地，圍住了聖徒的營和那蒙愛的城，就有火從天上降下來，毀滅了他們。
